Thomas (Tom) Clarke, age 79, was born in Colorado on June 27, 1933 and passed away at home on Saturday January 19th. Tom was a resident of Turlock for 40 years and worked at Gallo winery for many of those years. Tom was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
Baker, Mary E., 79, of Turlock died December 30. After a short illness, Mary Baker passed away at home on December 30th surrounded by her family. She is survived by her children John (Cyndi) Sims of Turlock, CA; Thomas (Debby) Sims of Sharps Chapel, TN; Marilyn (Bill) Gist of Cedaredge, CO; Sheryl (Daryl) Galloway of Turlock, CA, sister Alice (Frank) Tolson of Lakeland, Florida, 10 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.
Helen George, age 100, of Turlock passed away on Sunday, January 6, 2013 at Paramount Court in Turlock. She was born November 21, 1912 to Serafin and Lena Azevedo in Sacramento, California. She moved to Stevenson, California in 1925. She married John F. George in 1931. She settled in Turlock in 1935 and belonged to Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Turlock and S.P.R.S.I #130. She enjoyed cooking and baking, she also had a passion for sewing and crocheting.
After a brief illness, Della made her journey home peacefully, surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was 37 years old. Della enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest. She was kind and giving and could bring a smile to anyone's face when she walked into a room.
A Merced High School alumna, Class of 1948, Beth graduated from Pasadena College in 1953. She married Jim Smith in 1953 in Merced. They had two daughters, Andrea Morse and Alyssa Hernandez. She is survived by her daughters, two son-in-laws, six grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
Violet Leone Keller entered into rest Wednesday, December 19, 2012. She was 78 years of age. She was born on September 1, 1934, in North Dakota to Joseph and Emma Dauenhauer. Violet relocated to the California bay area in 1962 and then came to the Central Valley where she resided for the past 20 years.
Evelyn was born in Turlock to Tony C. and Maria Silva and passed away at the age of 88 in Turlock on December 21, 2012. She worked for Woolworths and Turlock Chamber of Commerce, and the Ration Board during World War II. Evelyn married the love of her life, Raymond J. Lewis and together they had two children; she also worked with her husband in the nursery and poultry business. After Raymonds passing in 1967, she worked for Gemperle Farms until the age of 80. Mary Carvalho of Turlock passed away December 16, 2012, she was 84 years old. Mary was born in Waterford, CA and attended local schools, graduating from Turlock High School. She was a homemaker all of her life. She had the warmest heart and always enjoyed having her loving family around during the holidays and family gatherings.
Josephine Madeline Lemos passed away on Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at Turlock Nursing and Rehabilitation in Turlock. She was born on February 5, 1920 in Kerman, California to Joe and Mary Dias. She attended schools in Kerman and was married October 18, 1941 to Raymond Joseph Lemos, Sr. of Modesto, who preceded her in death on February 8, 2000.
Stetpen Andrew Regas of Turlock was born 10-13-1944 and passed 5-28-2015. he was a gentle man, tender in heart, generous in spirit. He is survived by his daughter Rachel Duarte, son in law Tony Duarte & three grandsons Micah, Noah & Elijah Duarte. Services will be June 4th at 11 am at Turlock Memorial Park.
Louise Adele Marchant, 88, of Turlock, passed away May 26 at Doctors Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. She was the second daughter born in 1926 to Leopoldo and Confida Poggi, Italian immigrants, in San Francisco.
Marjorie Miller, 92, of Turlock, passed away at Alexander Cohen Hospice House in Hughson. Marjorie was born in Texas, one of 6 children born to Mr & Mrs Harrelson. She was raised in Missouri and attended schools in Missouri. She married Charles "Chuck" Edward Miller in Prineville, Oregon in 1945. Chuck and Marjorie and her family ran a commercial fishing business in Kenai, Alaska. She was a housewife and was involved with running the family business for 50 years.
