James McDearmon, 92 of Turlock, passed away at Emanuel Medical Center on Monday. He was born in Marin County in 1918. He was a professor of Speech for many years at California State University, Stanislaus. He is survived by a nephew, Daniel (Terry) Aguiar of Atherton; and by neighbor and close family friend, Barbara Ashwanden. He was preceded in death by his wife, Katherine, in 2002.

Ronald Jeffries, 62, of Gustine passed away on Dec. 4. He was born in Los Angeles to Thomas and Ruth Jeffries in 1948. Ronald served in the Vietnam War from 1968 to 1970. George Espinola, 88, of Hughson passed away peacefully in his sleep at Country Manor Samaritan Village in Hughson. George lived in Hughson all of his life. He joined the Army and served as a Field Lineman in the 84th Infantry Division and the 335th Infantry Regiment in WWII. He was awarded the Bronze Star and two Purple Hearts. On Nov. 30, 2010, William "Stan" Stanley Miller passed away in Turlock. He was just three months shy of his 90th birthday.
