Bob Disney, 88, of Modesto, went home to be with the Lord after a short but brave battle with cancer, with his loving family at his side. Bob was born in Lewistown, Mont. to Charles and Evangeline Disney. He grew up in Ballico and graduated from high school in Livingston. He attended MJC, UC Berkeley, and Stanislaus State. After working at various jobs, Bob became an accountant for M&ET Railroad, retiring after 19 years of employment there.
Cheryl Davis Collins, 62, passed away Feb. 1 with her family by her side at her residence in Modesto.
Don Louis Burnett passed away unexpectedly at the age of 75. He was dearly loved by his wife, Linda Stotts-Burnett; children, David, Christopher and Nancy; step children, Debbi, Robin and Stefani and their spouses; and many grandchildren. We love you and miss you.
Marjorie Johnson Flood was born to parents, Hulda Alfrida Mattson and Ernest Nathaniel Johnson, on a farm on Green Lake in Isanti County, Minn. Her four siblings preceded her in death, two in infancy, and adult brothers, Russell and Marvin.

Bob was born in Turlock at the old Emanuel Hospital to Roy and Carrie Hedstrom. Bob attended Lowell Grammar School and graduated from Turlock High School. He went on to attend Azusa College, and graduated from Trinity College in Chicago. He attended Trinity Seminary, California Baptist Theological Seminary, Berkeley Baptist Divinity School and California State University (master's degree). Bob worked at the Evangelical Free Church Turlock, First Baptist Church and Modesto First Baptist. Bob was a member of Turlock Covenant Church.
Esther Thorsen went home to be with the Lord on Jan. 28 in Turlock, at the age of 90. The second of four children, Esther was born in Hennessey, Okla. Her parents were Haskell and Myrtle Wells. As a small child, she moved with her family to California, eventually settling in Hughson. Esther attended Modesto Junior College, and worked at the Milk Producers, during World War II. After the war, Esther married Rodney J.B. Thorsen, owner of Thorsen's Plumbing, Inc., and moved to Turlock.
Katrina Andersson, 67, of San Jose passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 12 at Emanuel Medical Center. She was born in Vastervik, Sweden to Folke and Ena Andersson in 1943. Katrina was raised in Sweden and in the 60s she immigrated to the United States. She married John Moore in 1965, and had two sons, Rob and Dan. Katrina had lived in the Bay Area and San Jose area for over 30 years. She was a process server for the legal system for 25 years. She enjoyed golf and going to Ann Murray concerts. She is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Jesus Tapia, and three children: Jose M. (Sophia) Chavez of Turlock, Rosa (Juan Pablo) Vallejo of Turlock, and Jesus Ventura (Josefa Sanchez) of Turlock; 4 sisters, 2 brothers, and 7 grandchildren. She was greatly loved and will be deeply missed.

Mary Lois Bare, 91, of Hilmar, passed away at Turlock Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. Mary Lois was born in Arkansas to Julius and Thelma Wegel. She attended schools in Arkansas. After High School graduation she married Charles Bare, a Seaman with the Merchant Marine. They settled in California, first in the Bay Area and then in the Central Valley in 1968. They were married nearly 62 years when he passed away in 2005.

Bobbie Cheves, 87, of Turlock passed away peacefully on February 18, 2015. Bobbie was born in Shawnee, Oklahoma. When she was young, her family moved to Pittsburg, CA. As a senior in high school, Bobbie moved to Modesto where she graduated from Modesto High School. She married Gene in 1947 and they raised their family in Ceres, CA. After retiring from the Telephone Company, Bobbie and Gene enjoyed traveling and line dancing. She spent the last several years of her life in Turlock, CA. Pete Stavrianoudakis, passed away last Saturday at his home, surrounded by his family. He was born on February 28, 1936 to Pantelis and Maria Stavrianoudakis. He was a lifelong resident of Hilmar, where he attended grammar school and graduated from Hilmar High School. Pete was a farmer in Hilmar for most of his life and was involved with several community organizations including, Hilmar FFA, Valley Tractor Pullers Association, Hilmar Footbal Boosters and was a member of the Hilmar Lions Club since 1968. He was also a member of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Modesto.
Bill was born and raised in Turlock. He graduated from Turlock High School in 1971 and CSU Stanislaus in 1975. Bill was very active in sports throughout his school years, playing basketball and baseball and later traveling overseas with Athletes in Action and Sports Ambassadors. Bill was an evangelist for all of his adult life. He started evangelism classes at Monte Vista Chapel and enjoyed teaching Bible studies. Bill gave generously of himself to others, investing in their lives. He was a substitute teacher with Turlock School District for many years.
Henrietta was born in Turlock to Henry and Ellen Gustafson, the youngest of 8 children. She peacefully passed away at Paramount Court in Turlock, her home for the past year and one-half.
