Jerry Richard Repke, 56, of Sonora entered eternal life on Dec. 3 at Sonora Regional Medical Center after battling a cancerous brain tumor. He was born in Superior, Wis. to Ronald and Norma Mae Repke. He moved to California in 1956 after the death of his father, Ronald Repke. Jerry loved the outdoors - camping, fishing, and gold panning. He especially liked sitting by the campfire.

George Espinola

George Espinola, 88, of Hughson passed away peacefully in his sleep at Country Manor Samaritan Village in Hughson. George lived in Hughson all of his life. He joined the Army and served as a Field Lineman in the 84th Infantry Division and the 335th Infantry Regiment in WWII. He was awarded the Bronze Star and two Purple Hearts. He was also in the Battle of the Bulge, the Rhineland Campaign and was instrumental in releasing POWs held in the concentration camps. William Stanley Miller

On Nov. 30, 2010, William "Stan" Stanley Miller passed away in Turlock. He was just three months shy of his 90th birthday.
Stan was born in Escalon and proud of his Swedish and Lutheran heritage. He grew up in the San Jose area, attending San Jose and Campbell High Schools. Stan served in the National Guard for a period of six years, and saw combat in three major campaigns of World War II in the Pacific. Melville Andre Christiansen, 88, passed away Dec. 5, 2010. Evelyn Erikson passed away in Modesto at the age of 90 on January 9, 2015. A native of Turlock, Evelyn was the daughter of the late Arthur and Emma Erickson. She attended Turlock High School and was life-long member of the Turlock Covenant Church. She is the sister of the late Gloria Harmon of Modesto.
