Faye went to be with our Lord and Savior on June 15. She was born in Holland to Julia and Willem TenHove. She and her husband, Alfred, along with their son emigrated from Holland in 1948. Through the years they were in the dairy business and owned a grocery store. Faye was a homemaker and worked alongside her husband in the family businesses. She enjoyed fishing and spending time with her family. She also loved the fellowship of their church and friends.

Services for Marvin Dale Johnsen, 76, of Turlock, are scheduled for 12:30 p.m., Saturday, June 19, at Turlock Funeral Home, with interment following at Turlock Memorial Park. Visitation will take place from noon to 5 p.m. on Friday. He died suddenly at his residence on Thursday.

William K. “Bill” Harren

Bill Harren, 73, was born to Kendall and Eurena Harren in Pacific Grove. He started school in San Francisco but spent most of his school years in Ceres. After graduating from Ceres High School in 1955, he joined the National Guard, and served for six years. On Aug. 2, 1957, he married his high school sweetheart, Ann Marie Blaker. Bill and Ann were married for 53 years and had two daughters, Barbara (Bruce) Milgrom and Jennifer (Bill) Meyer. Bill was also grandfather to Kate (Ethan) Baker, Zack Milgrom, Josh Meyer and Lexi Meyer, and great grandfather to Allegra Baker.

Dolly Georgia Hanchett

Dolly Hanchett, 87, of Ceres, passed away early Monday at Emanuel Medical Center. She was born in Oklahoma to Thomas and Maggie Lawson. She grew up and went to school in Crowder, Okla. In 1940 she married Troy McChristian. After less than two years, while she was pregnant with their first child, Troy was tragically killed as a pedestrian by a passing car. Billie R. McKay Shamblin

Mrs. Billie R. Shamblin, 75, passed away Monday at Emanuel Medical Center in Turlock. She was born January 1935, in Arkansas to Burl and Bea McKay. She moved to Planada in 1945, before she settled in Turlock in the mid 1950s. She married Henry Shamblin in 1971, and became a homemaker.

Tom de Graaf, 86, of Turlock, passed away at his home on Friday, June 11. Tom had been an active member of the Turlock community since 1963. He was born in Santa Cruz on Jan. 22, 1924, the son of Tom and Alice de Graaf of the Netherlands, who followed their dreams to begin a new life in the United States. John Dennis Gingrich

John was born in Garden City, Kansas to Ludwig and Frances Gingrich in 1920. He spent his "youth" in an Army artillery unit in Northern Europe during World War II. That experience shaped his life; over half of his unit did not return home. He later graduated from San Francisco State with both a bachelor's and master's degrees. In 1948, he married Margaret in Oakland. John worked for about 30 years as a barber in San Francisco; he then retired and eventually moved to Turlock in 1988.
