Lewis V. Walters

Lewis Walters, 69 of Denair, passed away on Sunday at Elness Convalescent Hospital in Turlock. He was born in Escondido to William (Bill) and Helen Walters in 1941. Lewis was raised in Escondido, Livingston and Hilmar. He graduated from Hilmar High School in 1960. He lived in Denair for almost 30 years. Lewis was a truck driver and scrap metal man during his working years. Lewis was disabled by a massive stroke in April 1997. He was in the loving care of Elness Convalescent Hospital in Turlock for the last six and half years

James McDearmon, 92 of Turlock, passed away at Emanuel Medical Center on Monday. He was born in Marin County in 1918. He was a professor of Speech for many years at California State University, Stanislaus. He is survived by a nephew, Daniel (Terry) Aguiar of Atherton; and by neighbor and close family friend, Barbara Ashwanden. He was preceded in death by his wife, Katherine, in 2002.

Ronald Jeffries, 62, of Gustine passed away on Dec. 4. He was born in Los Angeles to Thomas and Ruth Jeffries in 1948. Ronald served in the Vietnam War from 1968 to 1970. He lived in Los Angeles until 1984, when he moved to the Central Valley. Ronald lived in Gustine for the last 15 years. He was a truck driver by trade.

Jerry Richard Repke, 56, of Sonora entered eternal life on Dec. 3 at Sonora Regional Medical Center after battling a cancerous brain tumor. George Espinola, 88, of Hughson passed away peacefully in his sleep at Country Manor Samaritan Village in Hughson. George lived in Hughson all of his life. He joined the Army and served as a Field Lineman in the 84th Infantry Division and the 335th Infantry Regiment in WWII. He was awarded the Bronze Star and two Purple Hearts. William Stanley Miller

On Nov. 30, 2010, William "Stan" Stanley Miller passed away in Turlock. He was just three months shy of his 90th birthday.
Stan was born in Escalon and proud of his Swedish and Lutheran heritage. He grew up in the San Jose area, attending San Jose and Campbell High Schools.
