Clarence was born in Mc Louth, Kansas to Clarence and Udera in 1930. He later settled in Turlock, where he lived for 40 years. Clarence enjoyed watching his children play baseball in Little League, race cars and animals.
Ken Hearn passed away peacefully at his home in Turlock after a brief and brave battle with cancer; he was 58 years old. He worked for Fed Ex freight for 26 years and lived in Turlock for the past 37 years. He enjoyed spoiling his grandchildren with special treats and spending time with his family.
Our beloved wife, mother, grammy, sister, aunt and friend, Marjorie Pittser, passed on June 5 at the age of 67. Her last days were spent at Memorial Hospital in Modesto with her family and friends at her side.
Hubert Nielsen, 88, of Hughson, passed away at Emanuel Medical Center on June 1. He was born in Alameda, Calif. to Jens and Sofie Nielsen in 1921. Hubert was raised in Yucaipa, Calif., and at an early age asked Jesus Christ into his life. After high school, he attended U.C. Berkeley until WWII. Hubert served in the U.S. Coast Guard and was involved in the D-Day landing. During WWII, he served in the Mediterranean, Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. After the war, Hubert finished college at U.C. Doug Freeby, 69, of Anoka was born in the Armistice Day blizzard of 1940 in rural Anoka to Harold and FloDella Freeby. He lived most of his life in the Anoka area, graduated from Anoka High School in 1958, enlisted and served eight years in the U.S. Navy, and married Beverly Hjelmberg in November 1960. They were sweethearts for over 50 years! Doug served the City of Anoka for 32 years including the Anoka/Champlin Fire Department for many years. He actively and faithfully served in leadership in churches where they attended.
Raymond Nicholson, 74, of Modesto, passed away on June 3. Raymond was born in Banner, Ariz. to Henry and Maggie Nicholson in 1936. He lived most of his adult life in California. In 1997, he settled in Modesto. Raymond was a minister for International Gospel Assemblies. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and being a carpenter. He loved helping people in need.
