A private service was held for Elinore D. Estante, 88, of Turlock. She was a homemaker for 58 years and enjoyed painting with oil and water coloring. She is survived by sons, David C. Estante and Allen Jenson, both of Turlock; brother, Donald Andrino of Turlock; three grandchildren; and one great grandchild. She was preceded in death by husband, Felimon Estante; brothers, Richard Andrino and Frederick Andrino; and sister, Adeline Ababan.
Stanley Delinski Jr., 82, of Turlock, passed away at Turlock Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on Thursday. He was born in Omaha, Neb. to Stanley and Mickelina Delinski in 1927. Stanley was raised in Peoria, Ill. and enlisted in the Navy during WW II. After the war, he moved to San Bernardino. Stanley met Joanna Jones and married her in 1950. They lived most of their lives in the San Bernardino area before settling to Turlock in 1999 to be closer to their daughter.
Miguel Angel Solorzano, 17, of Atwater, died March 20 in Modesto. Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. on March 30 at Whitehurst, Norton & Dias Funeral Chapel, 286 W. Main St., Turlock. A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. on March 30, also at Whitehurst, Norton & Dias. Burial will be private.
Evelyn B. Gawthrop, 102, of Atwater, died March 5 in Turlock. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 27 at First Presbyterian Church, 100 N. Hillcrest Blvd., Inglewood. Burial will be held at Inglewood Cemetery.
Joe Blanc Sr., of Turlock, passed away peacefully at Memorial Hospital on Tuesday evening to be reunited with his beloved wife Helen, who preceded him in death by 11 days. Joe was born in Turlock, the first C-section delivery by Dr. Eric Julien, to Emil Bernard and Anna Matilda Granberg Blanc. Emil was a butcher employed in various local stores and Anna was a mother and homemaker.
Charlie passed away on March 21 in Atwater at the age of 93. Charlie was born in Stamford, Texas on Feb. 1, 1917, to Annie Vaughan Bourland and Charlie Donohoo. He moved to Modesto in 1937, where he met and married Frances Catherine Skarka. They lived in Modesto until moving to Denair in 1943. Charlie lived in Denair until 2009, when he moved to Atwater to live with his daughter. During World War II, he worked at McClellan AFB in Sacramento. Annette Coelho, 46, of Turlock, passed away at home with her family at her side on Monday, March 22. She was born in Turlock to Duane and Bernice Avila in 1963. Annette was raised in Turlock and graduated from Turlock High School in 1981. She worked for Dr. Avila, Dr. Clark and Dr. James as a receptionist. Annette married Daniel Coelho in 1998. She loved watching football (Oakland Raiders) and NASCAR (Kasey Kahne). She also enjoyed reading and crocheting. She was a past member of Mountain View 4-H.
William "Bill" Duncan, Jr., 87, of Bonita, passed away peacefully in his sleep on March 7. William was born Feb. 6, 1923, in Arkansas, and then moved to Turlock as a boy. He was the son of William and Gertrude Duncan and brother of Pauline Duncan. Bill lived in Bonita for 37 years with his family before returning to his hometown of Turlock for retirement. Mary Evelyn Atwood passed away at home in Fresno on March 18, 2010. Evelyn was born in April 1920 in Rocky Ford, Colo. After growing up and going to college in Colorado, she lived in Turlock for about 60 years before moving to Fresno to live with her daughter. During Evelyn's time in Turlock, she was involved in various civic projects, taught in Headstart, volunteered in Migrant Education and contributed to improving the west side of Turlock. For many years, Evelyn practiced as a beautician both in Turlock and Modesto.

Marcella (Kaber) Laffin, 80, of Turlock, passed away at her home at Paramount Court. Marcella "Dolly," "Bubba" Laffin lived a full life involved as a Cub Scout leader, PTA officer, YLI officer, choir director, bowling secretary for several leagues and entered many crafts in county fairs.
