Edward Meye, 71, of Denair, lost his battle with cancer at Turlock Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born to Edward H. and Elizabeth Meyer in Oakland. After his high school graduation, Edward attended trade school and got his start as an auto mechanic. For many years he ran his own business specializing in the repair of imported cars. In 1958 he married Irene Francis. They were married for 47 years before her death in 2005.

Our Lil' Buddy was a vibrant 18 month old. He loved running crazy through the house, climbing on everything especially his parents and big brother. He could spend hours passing cars back and forth on the kitchen floor, chasing after anything that was thrown across the room and bringing it back or finding mud puddles with his big sister in the back yard. There was never a hug turned down or a kiss left in the air. He was such a loving little boy.
