Audrey Anderson, 80, of Turlock, passed away at St. Francis Assisted Care Center after an extended illness. Audrey was born in Amarillo Texas to John and Audrey (Sisk) Hodges. She started he schooling in Texas and the family moved to New Mexico when Audrey was 10 and then to Yuma Arizona when she was 16 and graduated from High School in Yuma. Fred Kling, 81, of Denair, was born in Hempstead, NY to David Kling and Gladys (Pearsall) Kling. When Fred was eight his Mother married Clarence Goldberg, who helped raise him. Fred grew up in Rockville Centre (Long Island) New York and graduated from High School there. After high school he joined the Air Force and served as an Air Force cook during the Korean War. Ray was a disabled veteran of the United States Army, where he served a tour in Europe. After his honorable discharge, he returned to Turlock, where he attended Modesto Junior College to learn the heating and air conditioning trade. Kenneth Falkenberg, of Turlock, passed away at home after a two year battle with cancer. Kenneth was born in Caldwell, Kansas to Bert and Rita Falkenberg. He attended school in Claremore, OK before moving to California at age 12. He attended Hawthorne School and Turlock High School. After high school he served in the National Guard and worked 32 years for Hartvickson Poultry. He became a self-employed poultry hauler for a total of 56 years before retiring in 2000. Kenneth enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching football. His greatest enjoyment was spending time with his family.
Carmendale Fernandes, 90, of Stockton passed away on October 15, 2014. She was born August 25, 1924, in Turlock to parents, J.C. and Clara Fernandes. Carmendale was raised in Turlock, attended local schools and graduated from Turlock High School. She then attended San Jose State College and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in education and later completed her Master's degree. Carmendale taught school in Sunnyvale from 1946-1988.
