George Espinola

George Espinola, 88, of Hughson passed away peacefully in his sleep at Country Manor Samaritan Village in Hughson. George lived in Hughson all of his life. He joined the Army and served as a Field Lineman in the 84th Infantry Division and the 335th Infantry Regiment in WWII. He was awarded the Bronze Star and two Purple Hearts. He was also in the Battle of the Bulge, the Rhineland Campaign and was instrumental in releasing POWs held in the concentration camps. On Nov. 30, 2010, William "Stan" Stanley Miller passed away in Turlock. He was just three months shy of his 90th birthday.
Stan was born in Escalon and proud of his Swedish and Lutheran heritage. He grew up in the San Jose area, attending San Jose and Campbell High Schools. LeRoy Choat, 62, of Turlock passed away at home with his family at his side on Friday, Dec. 3. He was born in Geary, Okla. to Otheo and Lula Choat in 1947. LeRoy lived in Linden, Tenn. and Turlock throughout his life. He was a master mechanic and at the end of his career he owned Tom's Creek Boat Motor Repair in Tennessee.
