Frank Chavez, 70, of Ceres, passed away Wednesday at Memorial Medical Center in Modesto.
Mr. Chavez was a native of Madera and a resident of Ceres for six years. He previously lived in Patterson for 19 years. He was a groundskeeper for 30 years, working for Del Puerto Hospital and Turlock Memorial Park. He was a member of the New Life Temple of Turlock.

Robert was a native of Turlock. He worked in the melon industry for many years and later in life owned his own business as a commercial fisherman. His last employment was with Heckendorf's Auto, from which he retired.
Robert is survived by son, Dev Grieves; daughters, Debra Cislo and Kimberly Daly; eight grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

Almeda Shea, 71, of Modesto, passed away at home surrounded by her family. Almeda was born in Rush Springs, Okla. to Theodore and Lorene Payne. She and her family relocated to California during the Dust Bowl period in 1942. She spent her childhood and grammar school years in Orange Cove, then moving to Visalia where she spent her high school years. Elias Barajas-Gonzalez of Turlock died Monday in Hughson. He was born in 1926 in Los Desmontes, Michoacan, Mexico. He was a self employed carpenter for 50 years and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Turlock. He was a great carpenter, and enjoyed working with wood.
