Rose Marie Miner,79 of Turlock passed away at home with her family by her side. Marie was born in Bartlesville, OK to Albert and Olive Duffey. Marie married Floyd Miner in 1951, sharing 61 years together. Marie worked at Emanuel Hospital for over 15 years as a switchboard operator and she volunteered for the past 8 years at St. Vincent De Paul Thrift Shop in Patterson, Ca.

Mary Perry, 99, of Modesto passed away on Saturday, March 24 in Turlock. She was born in Hayward, CA to Antone and Mary Damas in 1912. She had lived in Denair, Hughson and Modesto since 1917. Mary had served during WWII in the Army Air Corps WAC and later ran a dairy with her husband and children for 29 years. She was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Hughson, SPRSI #96, YLI #193, UPPEC #56, Luso-American #2950, Turlock VFW Post 5059 the Ladies Auxiliary and the Altar Society. She sacrificed her life for the church and family.

Geraldine A. Johnson, 71 of Turlock, passed away at Emanuel Medical Center with her family by her side. Geri was born in Crows Landing, CA to Lawrence and Adeline Rocha. She lived in this area throughout her life, graduating from Hilmar High in 1958. Geri took great pride in this accomplishment, as one of the first in her family to graduate high school. After graduation Geri continued her education, attending Valley Community College. Marilyn Davenport passed away peacefully in Turlock on July 31st after a brave battle with lung disease. She was born and raised in Minneapolis, MN, then moved to California in 1950 upon marrying Henry Morrett and earning her nursing degree. She worked in hospitals for 19 years and another 10 years as an aerospace industry nurse in southern California. She highly valued her work as an ER nursing supervisor and enjoyed the variety of patients she served. Julia was born in Chicago, IL to Samuel and Nanajon Yohannan and passed away in Turlock at the age of 85. She settled in Turlock at the age of fifteen and graduated from Turlock High School. In 1957 she married Brad Sleeper and they shared 57 years of marriage. Julia was passionate about her Assyrian community and actively involved in and treasurer for the Assyrian American Civic Club of Turlock. One of her favorite activities was playing "Takhta", backgammon. She also loved to read and play bridge.

She attended high school in Chino and Chaffey College in Ontario before marrying Harlon Clyde Ross in 1932. Edward was born in Turlock where he lived all his life. He graduated from Turlock High School and drove truck for over 30 years. Ed enjoyed fishing, watching NASCAR and getting together with friends. He loved his daughters and one grandson dearly.
