Pennie was born on October 21, 1954 in Grangeville, Idaho to Everett and Emily (Billie) Ralston. She was one of six children. She fought a brave battle against cancer and went home to be with our Lord on Tuesday, August 5, 2014. She was 59 years old.
Evelyn was born and raised on a dairy ranch in Stevinson, CA and passed away at the age of 97 in Encino, California. She graduated from Hilmar High School and settled in Turlock where she lived for over 60 years. Evelyn worked for Haucks Drug Store and was a secretary for Dr. Moline's office for several years.
Dorothy Wire Ross was called home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on August 6, 2014 just weeks shy of her 102nd birthday. Dorothy was born in Chino, CA to Charles and Jo (Passmore) Wire. She attended high school in Chino and Chaffey College in Ontario before marrying Harlon Clyde Ross in 1932. Together they worked hard farming in the Pomona and Etiwanda areas before settling in Turlock in 1963. Edward was born in Turlock where he lived all his life. He graduated from Turlock High School and drove truck for over 30 years. Ed enjoyed fishing, watching NASCAR and getting together with friends. He loved his daughters and one grandson dearly.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents and 8 siblings. He is survived by his wife Rella Crawford of Turlock; six children: Joseph (Sylvia) Crawford of Weleetka OK, Geraldine Crawford of Sacramento CA, Rhonda Crawford of Hawthorne NV, Rebekah Grover of Turlock, Patsy Wortham of Atwater CA, and LeAnn (Sonny James) Garman of Brownwood TX; one sister Fay Rountree of Oklahoma City OK, 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 2 great, great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Adrian "Bud" Orange and her husband Dwight Lang. She is survived by her children: Renee (Jerry) Phillips and Robin (Tony) Garcia of Modesto, Roger Lang (Chris) of Vale, OR, and Rochelle Alexander of Reno, NV; her sister Karen Dempsey of Alaska; six grandchildren, three great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild.
Hijinia R. Maldonado, our beautiful and beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, was called home to heaven on August 1st. She was born on January 22, 1928 in Jerez, Zacatecas in Mexico, where she met the only love of her life Jose C. Maldonado in 1946 and then married him on February 5, 1947. Hijinia was loving, kind, warm, hardworking, and loved her family with all of her heart. She and her husband were members of Sacred Heart Church in Turlock.
Tim Worsham, 46, of Turlock, passed away Tuesday, July 30th. Tim was born in Turlock to Dillard and Janet Worsham. He grew up in Delhi and graduated from Livingston High School in 1985. He got a double major degree from Cal. State Stanislaus in Math and Computer Science. In 2005 he married Janice Elrod. Tim has worked at Gallo Winery as Senior Manager of Applications Development. Tim enjoyed motorcycling, boating, and snow-boarding, but his first love was for his wife and family. Shirley is survived by her husband Dean Hill, brother Robert Horine; daughters Judy (James) Allen and Kathie (Joseph) Wright; step-children Michael Hill, Linda Hill Mobley, Janet (Anthony) Watts-Clement; grandchildren Brian Allen, Shirley Spycher, Laura Allen, Sheri Icedo, David Worstell and Steven Worstell; step grandchildren Matthew Watts, Rachel Watts, Jessica Watts and Molly Mobley, 15 great-grandchildren, and 2 great, great-grandchildren. Shirley is preceded in death by her parents Melvin and Pearl (Beth) Horine, and sisters Annetta Cochran and June Thomson.
Fred Yow, 67, of Delhi, passed away at Emanuel Medical Center. Fred was preceded in death by his mother and a sister Janette Yow. He is survived by Pam Yow; children: Angela (Joseph) Matrisciano, Michele Yow-Thomas, Christina Yow, Fredrick (Jason) Yow, Niki Yow, and Joseph Yow, step-children Christina Andree and Jennifer Andree, his father LeBoyice Yow; siblings: Sherry Mingus and Gloria Yorston; and grandchildren: Arieonna, Mariah, Hayley, Gavin, Angelina, Adaline, Brayden, and Benjamin.
David was born in Turlock to Arturo Sanchez and Linda Cervantes and passed away at the age of 39 in Turlock. He was a caring man who would help anyone in need. He was apostolic and loved God as well as his children and family. David was affectionately known as "Uncle Donner" by his nieces and nephews. He was an avid 49ers fan, loved riding bikes and snacking on candy and sweets.
James E. Virgo left us on July 22 doing what he loved, working in his yard and garden. Jim was born July 24, 1934 in Modesto, CA. He lived his entire life in Turlock and Delhi, attending Turlock High School. He retired from Turlock Irrigation District as a line supervisor in 1994. He also worked for a time at Leedom Tire Shop. Jim's served in the National Guard.
A beloved Matriarch of our family has left us but her twinkling eyes and vibrant smile will remain in our hearts forever. Mary Valle was a life-long resident of Turlock. She was the youngest of 10 children and the last surviving child. Mary met and married Raul Valle while they were in high school. They were married 66 years and welcomed two daughters, Loretta and Jeannie. Mary and Raul were small business owners.
