Alberto Teixeira Azevedo was born March 28, 1931 and passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on October 18, 2015. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Albertina, his 3 sons Jorge (Pam), Paul (Rosa), and Elias, 4 grandchildren & 7 great grandchildren, as well as his siblings Julia & Joao of Canada, Vitoria of Sao Jorge & Jose of Winton. He is preceded in death by his parents Jose & Angelina and his brother Antonio.
Patricia Hawkes Wheeler (Pat) was born on July 8th, 1945, in Preston, Idaho to Leo and Roma Hawkes. Pat is the fourth child with three older brothers. While growing up in Preston, Pat enjoyed going camping in the nearby canyons with her family and loved the dutch-oven steaks her father would cook outdoors at home.
Youbany was born in Turlock, California on November 7, 1997 to Rey and Ofelia Ponce. He traveled back and forth from Tulare to Turlock for family and work. Youbany was always happy and telling jokes, making everyone smile and laugh. He loved cars and singing. He had a protectors spirit and was always helping others. He will be greatly missed and was truly loved by all his family and friends.
Doreen Reich was born in 1937 to Elmer and Elsie Anderson and passed away at the age of 77 in Turlock. At the age of 8, Doreen moved to Denair with her family, she graduated from Hughson High School in 1955 and attended Modesto Junior College. In 1957, she married Jerry K. Reich and together they lived in the Denair, Turlock and Delhi areas. She and Jerry owned and operated Turlock Realty and Courtesy Markets; both businesses they started in the 1960s.
Dearest wife, loving mother, proud grandma, and strong love for the Lord, died on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 after a long struggle with illness. "Dolly's" last days were spent at home with her husband, children and grandchildren caring for her.
Lillian D. Jerome of Turlock passed away on Saturday, October 10, 2015. She was born in Hughson, California, on November 24, 1921, and lived in Turlock for more than 80 years. She graduated from Turlock High School in 1939. Lillian worked at JC Penney in Turlock for nearly 30 years, and after her retirement, volunteered at the Emanuel Medical Center gift shop for more than 20 years. She was a lifelong member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Mary Delores Cancimilla, passed away Friday, October 9, 2015 at her home in Turlock. She was born September 24, 1924, at Emanuel Hospital, to Frank and Mary Silva; she was the first of eight children. Mary grew up going to Hilmar Schools until, as a teenager, she had to start helping support her family working on their dairy. While working, she first saw her future husband, Thomas Frank Cancimilla, riding his bicycle past the dairy and on April 8, 1945 they were wed. They were happily married 61 years, until his death in 2006.
Anna Mae Jorgensen was born in Sanger, California on August 10, 1936 to Robert and Clara Stone. She moved to Turlock when she was 14. Her father Robert M. Stone managed Mercantile and her mother Clara worked at Youngdales for many years. Anna Mae was in Job's Daughters and was crowned "DeMolay Sweetheart" at the annual dance at 16 years of age where she danced the night away with her future husband, William A. Nutcher. June Bruce, 97, of Turlock, passed away peacefully at Paramount Court. June was born in Cherry Grove, OR to George and Edna Bruce. The family moved to Keyes, CA in 1922. June graduated from Turlock High School in 1935, and subsequently completed her Bachelors' Degree from Linfield College in McMinnville, OR. She then attended Business College to take bookkeeping, shorthand, and typing.
Michael "Mike" Charles Dunn of Denair, passed away suddenly. Mike a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, uncle, cousin and friend, was born to Clyde and Corrine Dunn in Long Beach, CA. He grew up in Long Beach and worked with his parent's interior design business and then became a sales rep for Tri West. Mike graduated from Long Beach Poly High School in 1968. Went on to Long Beach City College where he was a member of the "Order of Vidar", and being lifelong friends with fellow members until his death.
