Marvin Ernest, 67, of Turlock, passed away at Alexander Cohen Hospice House on Monday. Marvin went home to be with the Lord after a long battle with cancer. Marvin owned and operated AAA Sewing Machine in Modesto for 22 years and was in the business for 45 years. Time with family and riding his Harley were his favorite things. He will be remembered for his gentle manner and deep soft voice. His kindness touched many lives.

Louie Joseph Peters, 91, of Turlock, died on June 12. Louie was born in Pescadero, Calif. to Manuel and Bazelina Peters. He trained for a year as a professional ballroom dancer by the famous Arthur Murray Dance Studio in the 1940s. Latin ballroom dance was Louie's forte. Louie and his wife of 59 years, Alta, were ballroom dancers and members of the Modesto Ballroom and the VFW.
