A celebration of life for Gordon Larsen, 84, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Allen Mortuary. Burial will follow at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery. Gordon passed away at home with family at his side on Thursday.

Visitation for Charles House, 79, will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Turlock Funeral Home, 425 N. Soderquist Rd. in Turlock. Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, also at Turlock Funeral Home. Private internment will take place at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery. A celebration of life service will be held for Lorraine Bettencourt, 84, of Ceres at 11 a.m. Monday at Samaritan Village, 7700 Fox Rd., Hughson. A dear mother and loving grandmother, Lorraine was surrounded by her loving children and grandchildren, when she went home to heaven.

Viewing for Wilma Fairchild, 84, of Turlock will be from noon to 5 p.m. Thursday at Allen Mortuary. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, also at Allen Mortuary. Private burial will be at Turlock Memorial Park. Wilma passed away at Elness Convalescent Hospital on Monday.

Services for Harold Seder, 82, of Turlock are scheduled for 1 p.m. on Friday at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery, 32043 W. McCabe Rd., in Gustine.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Erma Azevedo, 87, of Stevinson at 10 a.m. today at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Stevinson. Burial will follow at Sunnyside Cemetery. Erma passed away at home with family at her side on Saturday.

James Sweeten, 82, of Turlock, passed away on Saturday, June 18 at Bel-Air Lodge Convalescent Hospital. He was born in Okemah, Okla. to Herman and Winnie Sweeten in 1928. William Andrew Sandberg, 83, died June 7 in Las Vegas, Nev. He was a former resident of Turlock and a chemical engineer. A funeral was held at La Paloma Funeral Services, and a cremation followed.

Mrs. Cherylee "Cheri" Anne Fernandes Silva was born on Jan. 1, 1950, in Turlock, Calif. to Carl and Josephine E. Lucas Fernandes. She passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2011, in Nacogdoches, Texas.

Arthur L. Martin, 90, of Delhi, was born on Jan. 20, 1921, in Maud, Okla. and passed away on June 12 in Merced.
Marvin Ernest Jr.
Marvin Ernest, 67, of Turlock, passed away at Alexander Cohen Hospice House on Monday. Marvin went home to be with the Lord after a long battle with cancer. Marvin owned and operated AAA Sewing Machine in Modesto for 22 years and was in the business for 45 years. Time with family and riding his Harley were his favorite things. He will be remembered for his gentle manner and deep soft voice. His kindness touched many lives.

Owen Joseph Stauber, 82, of Turlock, passed away Tuesday, June 14 at Emanuel Medical Center.
Louie Joseph Peters
Louie Joseph Peters, 91, of Turlock, died on June 12. Louie was born in Pescadero, Calif. to Manuel and Bazelina Peters. He trained for a year as a professional ballroom dancer by the famous Arthur Murray Dance Studio in the 1940s. Latin ballroom dance was Louie's forte. Louie and his wife of 59 years, Alta, were ballroom dancers and members of the Modesto Ballroom and the VFW.

Bill R. Sousa, 61, of Hilmar, was born on Jan. 17, 1950, in Cinco Ribeiras, Terceira, Azores and passed away on June 11 in Hilmar.

Helen Ruth (Hunter) Bishop, a native of Turlock, died on Wednesday, June 15, 2011, after a short illness. She was 84.
Michael Wigt
Michael J. Wigt, 24, passed away suddenly and tragically on June 14, 2011. He was born in Modesto to John Wigt and Carlene (Johnson) Wigt on Jan. 12, 1987. Michael had two brothers, John and Samuel.

Marvin Ernest, 67, of Turlock, passed away at Alexander Cohen Hospice House on Monday.

Francisco Coelho Costa, 87, of Turlock, died June 11 in Turlock. He was born in June 1923 in Altares, Terceira, Azores. He worked in the dairy and food processing industry and was a member of Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church of Turlock. He enjoyed gardening and vacationing in the Azores.
Georgia Dean Hocker
Georgia was born in Coalinga, Calif. to Charles and Pearl Mallory in 1919. She enjoyed reading, working on needlework and singing as a soprano in the choir.
