Danny E. Lewis of Los Banos passed away on August 1, 2015 at 83 years of age. He was born on January 9, 1932 in Los Banos, CA the son of the late Manuel & Mary Lewis. Danny served in the US Army 5th Regiment Combat Team stationed in Korea from 1952 to 1954. He was employed at Youngdale's in Turlock for many years. Danny was an avid San Francisco 49er fan and an honorary director of the Los Banos Sportsmen's Club.
Mary Frances Bailey went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on August 1, 2015. She was a beautiful, loving wife, mother and grandmother; born to Harry and Grace Edmonston in Long Beach, CA in December of 1927. An only child, Mary grew up in Southern California and graduated from Huntington Park High School. She attended Redlands University and then came to Stanislaus County where she lived the rest of her life.
Aundre Rawlins, 21, of Turlock, California, passed away on Saturday, August 1, 2015. He was born and raised in Turlock and attended Turlock Schools. He graduated from Roselawn High School in 2012. Aundre enjoyed music, and making people feel good by making them laugh and smile.
Wilburn was born in Oklahoma to George and Estelle Benefield. He married Wilta (Neff) Benefield on April 11, 1970 and together they shared 45 years of marriage. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and retired from Gallo Winery after 30 years in the wine industry.
Judy Paulette Hager was born December1, 1949 to Roy and Mabel Baptista at Emanuel Hospital. She grew up on a dairy with her parents, north of town on Zeering road. She attended school in the Keyes Unified School District and played saxophone in the Turlock Junior Band. She went to high school at Turlock High and was an active student. Tomiye (Tomi) Hamaguchi was born on December 16, 1925, in Mountain View, CA, to Kisaburo and Teru Tsujihara. She attended various schools in Merced and Colorado, followed by a year of sewing school in San Francisco. She married Ken Hamaguchi in 1949 and farmed in Livingston until they moved to Atwater in 1986. Tomi passed away peacefully at home on July 24, 2015.

Velma Watkins, 85, of Hilmar, passed away at Emanuel Medical Center. Velma was born in Stevinson, CA to Leonard and Bernice McKenzie. She grew up in Stevinson and graduated from Hilmar High School in 1949. After high school she worked as a Nurse's Aide at Westside Hospital near Newman. She met Richard Watkins and later married in Reno, Nevada in 1954. Richard was in the Air Force, so the family moved to Denver, Nebraska, and Spokane before settling back in the Hilmar / Stevinson area. James Stanley Roach, also known to his friends and family as Jim Roach, passed away July 5, 2015, after his battle with cancer. Jim was a loving devoted father to Dallas Roach and a wonderful, loving grandfather to his two grandsons Dallas Roach II and Austin Roach. He had a very generous, sharing personality. Always there when you needed him and putting others before himself.
