Josephine Avila, 102, of Turlock, passed away at Emanuel Medical Center on Saturday, March 12. Josephine was born in Rayon, Sonora, Mexico to Andres and Guadalupe Villa in 1908. In the earlier 1930s, she moved to Brawley, Calif. and lived in Turlock since 1947. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, YLI and the Altar Society. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and worked for Budget Self Storage for 23 years. Merete enjoyed quilting, knitting, painting and raising her grandkids. God and family were her life.

Jack Kenneth Rosevear was called to Heaven by his Lord and Savior on Friday, June 3. All his family and friends will miss him dearly. Jack was born in Lead, S.D. on June 10, 1923. He moved to Mill Valley, Calif. with his parents, John Charles Rosevear "Jack" and Iris Isabelle Thompson Rosevear, a year later. He graduated from Mt. Tamalpais High School and worked in the ship yard with his brother, William Alfred "Nick," during World War II in Sauselito.
