Jasbar Kaur Khera, 79, died May 26 with her family by her side in Modesto, Calif. She was born September 1930, in India to Rashpal Singh and Daljit Kaur. Jasbir was a devout and loving person. She always greeted everyone with love and kept everyone around her close.

Ernest "Ernie" Babbitt, of Turlock, died at the age of 80 at Emanuel Medical Center after a lengthy illness.
Frank Eugene Hardester
Frank Hardester, 84, of Turlock, passed away at home on May 21. He was born in Stockton to William and Clara Hardester in 1925. Frank served in the Army during WWII. Joe von Moos, 82, of Patterson, passed away Saturday at Memorial Medical Center in Modesto. Mr. von Moos was born in Heber and was a resident of Patterson for 66 years. He worked for Patterson Concrete as an irrigation pipe yard clerk for 27 years and previously worked at Arden Farms Creamery. Born in Tyrone, NM to John and Charlotte Miller, Clyde was a truck driver for 30 years. He was a member of Alder Avenue Baptist Church and was deacon for 15 years. He helped his wife run a childcare center out of their home for 20 years. He was "pa-pa" to hundreds of children.

Donald Erwin
Donald Erwin, 66, of Selma, went to eternity at his forever resting place on May 21 after a brave battle with cancer. Don was born on Nov. 15, 1943 to Ray and Neva in Oklahoma City. They moved to Ventura in 1945, where he attended Will Rogers Elementary, Anacapa and De Anza Junior High and graduated from Ventura High School Class of 1961. He then graduated from Ventura College with an AA degree in Journalism, while there he was a photographer for the college newspaper.

Antonia Cockrum
Antonia Cockrum, 63, passed away at Doctors Medical Center. Antonia was born in Mexico to Secundino and Maria Cortez Martinez. She resided in Turlock and the Atwater area for the past 40 years. She shared her greatest joys with those dear to her heart; her family, apart from spending time with her grandchildren. Her favorite past times included, gardening and caring for her pets. She was a devoted catholic, and member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Mario Olivieri
Mario Olivieri, 92, died May 18 at Valley Comfort Assisted Living in Modesto. He was born on Nov. 11, 1917 to the late Giacomo and Margherita Olivieri in Valley Home.
James Mitchell
James Mitchell, 72, of Ceres, passed away at his home on Tuesday. Born in Kentucky, James grew up and graduated from high school in Indianapolis, Ind. He married Carol in 1978 in Bakersfield and they returned to live in California in 1990. James was a welder and maintenance worker. He worked for a feed mill and for Con-Agra for 20 years. He enjoyed fishing, but his greatest enjoyment came from spending time at home with his family.

Francisco Coelho Costa, 87, of Turlock, died June 11 in Turlock. He was born in June 1923 in Altares, Terceira, Azores. He worked in the dairy and food processing industry and was a member of Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church of Turlock. He enjoyed gardening and vacationing in the Azores.
Georgia Dean Hocker
Georgia was born in Coalinga, Calif. to Charles and Pearl Mallory in 1919. She enjoyed reading, working on needlework and singing as a soprano in the choir.
Debbie Sue Sensabaugh
Debbie Sue Sensabaugh, 41, of Los Banos, died in a local hospital. She was a native of Modesto and attended Downey High School. Debbie was a homemaker and also worked at an auction yard. She enjoyed dancing and singing with her sisters and family.
Charan Singh
Charan was born in India in 1932 to Guras and Mahen. He worked in India as a farmer before coming to the United States in 1979, with the rest of his family following in 1981.

Fred J. Sigrist, 90, passed away June 11 at his residence in Turlock. He was born August 1920, in Switzerland to the late Alfred and Rosa Sigrist. He was raised in Imperial Valley, and lived in Modesto

A memorial and burial service for Dallas E. Smith will be conducted, at graveside, at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 18 under the direction of the Turlock Memorial Park.

Michael Joseph Lapineg, 62, of Turlock, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, whom he loved and served. He was a cement mason for the Local Union #300. He attended the Enclave Christian Church.
Irvin Alfred Klaschus
Irvin Alfred Klaschus was born in Superior, Wis. to Frank and Anna Klaschus. As a young adult he completed his education and received a master's degree in English from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He served in the U.S. Army from March 12, 1942 – Feb. 5, 1946. Merete Clardy
Merete Clardy was born and raised in Odense, Denmark. She moved to Bakersfield in 1958, before settling in Turlock in 1981. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and worked for Budget Self Storage for 23 years. Merete enjoyed quilting, knitting, painting and raising her grandkids. God and family were her life.

Clarence Cantua, 87, was born March 15, 1924 in Gilroy and passed away June 2, 2011 in Los Banos.
