Donald Erwin, 66, of Selma, went to eternity at his forever resting place on May 21 after a brave battle with cancer. Don was born on Nov. 15, 1943 to Ray and Neva in Oklahoma City. They moved to Ventura in 1945, where he attended Will Rogers Elementary, Anacapa and De Anza Junior High and graduated from Ventura High School Class of 1961. James Mitchell, 72, of Ceres, passed away at his home on Tuesday. Born in Kentucky, James grew up and graduated from high school in Indianapolis, Ind. He married Carol in 1978 in Bakersfield and they returned to live in California in 1990. James was a welder and maintenance worker. He worked for a feed mill and for Con-Agra for 20 years. He enjoyed fishing, but his greatest enjoyment came from spending time at home with his family.
