A funeral will be held for Clara David, 80, of Modesto, at 1 p.m. July 9 at Turlock Funeral Home, 425 N. Soderquist Rd. in Turlock. Burial will follow at Turlock Memorial Park.
Carlos Torres Sandoval
Visitation will be held at 10:30 a.m., with a Celebration of Life service at 11 a.m. for Carlos Torres Sandoval, 89, of Patterson, on July 18 at Hillview Funeral Chapel in Patterson. A gathering will be held at the Masonic Hall in Patterson following the service.
Richard Alvin Hayes
No memorial service is planned for Richard Hayes of Turlock. He entered into eternal rest at the age of 56.
Wanda Lee Carter
Visitation for Wanda Lee Carter, 83, will be held from noon to 5 p.m. July 7 at Allen Mortuary in Turlock. Memorial services are scheduled for 10 a.m. July 8, also at Allen Mortuary with Pastor Arnie Hodge officiating. She will be laid to rest following the services at Turlock Memorial Park.
Alice M. Valencia — “Papis”
A memorial service for Alice Valencia, 63, of Delhi, will be held at 10 a.m. July 7 at Calvary Chapel, 125 S. Orange St. in Turlock. She passed away at home with her niece by her side.
Dara Lorene Foster
Visitation for Dara Lorene Foster, 53, will be held from noon to 5 p.m. July 6 at Allen Mortuary in Turlock. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. July 7 at Ceres Memorial Park in Ceres.
Nyle Vaughn Tribble, D.C.
A remembrance of Nyle Tribble's life will be held at 1 p.m. July 3 at the Sheriff's Posse Grounds at 19130 Rawhide Rd., Jamestown, Calif.
Jean Martin Jaureguy
Visitation for Jean Jaureguy will begin at 5 p.m. followed by a recitation of the rosary at 7 p.m. on July 1 at Turlock Funeral Home, 425 N. Soderquist Rd.
Darrel Dahlquist
A memorial service for Darrel Dahlquist, 72, of Turlock, will be held at 11 a.m. on July 7 at Monte Vista Chapel. A private burial will take place at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery. Darrel passed away at Brandel Manor.
James David Allen
Private services will be held for James David Allen. He died at the age of 48 of lung cancer. James loved fishing and did it every chance he got. He fished with all of his family, especially with his nephew Bobby, his brother-in-laws Robert and Keith, and with his sisters and brother. We are so grateful that he is no longer suffering. We all love you JIM.

Nicanor “Nick” Munoz
Services have been held for Nicanor Munoz, 79, of Hilmar. Nick was a truck driver for 20 years, and enjoyed driving all over the U.S. and Canada. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was stationed in Egypt as an Army tank mechanic. He was proud to be a member of V.F.W. Michael Joseph Lapineg, 62, of Turlock, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, whom he loved and served. He was a cement mason for the Local Union #300. He attended the Enclave Christian Church.

Irvin Alfred Klaschus was born in Superior, Wis. to Frank and Anna Klaschus. As a young adult he completed his education and received a master's degree in English from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He served in the U.S. Army from March 12, 1942 – Feb. 5, 1946. Mr. Surinder Chopra, 70, passed away at Emanuel Medical Center in Turlock on Wednesday, June 8, 2011. He was born July 1940 in India.
Merete Clardy
Merete Clardy was born and raised in Odense, Denmark. She moved to Bakersfield in 1958, before settling in Turlock in 1981. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and worked for Budget Self Storage for 23 years. Merete enjoyed quilting, knitting, painting and raising her grandkids. God and family were her life.
Clarence Cantua
Clarence Cantua, 87, was born March 15, 1924 in Gilroy and passed away June 2, 2011 in Los Banos.
Georgia Dean Hocker
Georgia Dean Hocker was born in Coalinga, Calif. to Charles and Pearl Mallory in 1919. She enjoyed reading, working on needlework and singing as a soprano in the choir.

Melba Louise "Nanny" Victor, 72 of Turlock, passed away after an eight-month battle with cancer, at Emanuel Medical Center, surrounded by her family. She was born in Keota, Okla. to Carl and Flora Willhite.
Jack Rosevear
Jack Kenneth Rosevear was called to Heaven by his Lord and Savior on Friday, June 3. All his family and friends will miss him dearly. Jack was born in Lead, S.D. on June 10, 1923. He moved to Mill Valley, Calif. with his parents, John Charles Rosevear "Jack" and Iris Isabelle Thompson Rosevear, a year later. He graduated from Mt. Tamalpais High School and worked in the ship yard with his brother, William Alfred "Nick," during World War II in Sauselito.
Joseph Michael "Mike" Trindade
Mike Trindade passed away peacefully at the age of 71 on June 4 at Doctors Medical Center in Modesto.

Mamie C. Carvalho, 79, of Turlock, died Sunday in Turlock. She was born in 1932 in Stevinson. She was a teacher's aide for Turlock Unified School District for 20 years and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Turlock and Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church of Turlock, S.P.R.S.I. Council 151 of Hilmar and Y.L.I. St. Patrick's Institute #223 of Hilmar. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, spending time with family and watching golf and NASCAR racing.
Jay J. Ribera
Jay Ribera, 49, of Hilmar, passed away on Saturday in a tragic auto accident.
Effa May Corker
Effa May Corker, 76, of Turlock, died June 2 in Turlock. She was born September 1934 in Colorado. She was a secretary for Sharp Army Depot for 14 years and a member of Pentecostal Church of Keyes.
