Linda Halsey, 59, of Turlock, passed away in Modesto on May 6 at Memorial Medical Center. She was born in Ypsilanti, MI to Chris and Catherine Smith in 1950. Linda moved to California in 1980. She met Edward Halsey in 1981, and they married in 1984. They moved to Turlock in 1986. She owned and operated Reaching High Co-op, a learning center for children. Parkash Gill, 64, of Delhi, passed away at Memorial Medical Center on May 5. Parkash was born in India in 1946. In India, Parkash was a teacher and a block officer in the education system. She settled in Delhi in 2008. She was a member of the Livingston Sikh Temple. Parkash loved her grandchildren.

Ronald Lawrence Mead, 75, of Ceres, passed away peacefully on Wednesday at Alexander Cohen Hospice House in Hughson. Mr. Mead was born September 1934 in Santa Ana, Calif. to Lawrence and Aldean Mead. Dorothy Lu Fern Headley was born at home in Meeker, Okla. She was the only daughter of Marvin and Pearl Kimbley. Though she was the only daughter, she was not the only child for the Kimbleys. Dorothy had five brothers, Carl, T. J., Leon, Roy and Harry.

Jack Rosevear
Jack Kenneth Rosevear was called to Heaven by his Lord and Savior on Friday, June 3. All his family and friends will miss him dearly. Jack was born in Lead, S.D. on June 10, 1923. He moved to Mill Valley, Calif. with his parents, John Charles Rosevear "Jack" and Iris Isabelle Thompson Rosevear, a year later. He graduated from Mt. Tamalpais High School and worked in the ship yard with his brother, William Alfred "Nick," during World War II in Sauselito.

She was a teacher's aide for Turlock Unified School District for 20 years and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Turlock and Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church of Turlock, S.P.R.S.I. Council 151 of Hilmar and Y.L.I. St. Patrick's Institute #223 of Hilmar. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, spending time with family and watching golf and NASCAR racing.

Catherine Jean Julien, 61, passed away at Emanuel Medical Center, Turlock, on May 27. The oldest of five children of Dr. Robert and Mrs. Jean Julien, she was born May 19, 1950 at Stanford Medical Hospital. Catherine Julien was a working archaeologist and ethnohistorian.

Michael Joseph Lapineg, 62, of Turlock, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, whom he loved and served. He was a cement mason for the Local Union #300 for 38 years and a member of Enclave Christian Church.
Maria Bitbadal
Maria Bitbadal, 91, died May 27 at the Regional Medical Center of San Jose. She was born 1920, in Russia to the late Atanos and Ashley Bitbadal. As a young person she moved to Iran. In 1940, Maria came to America and married her husband, David Mooshabad. They settled in San Francisco 30 years ago and belonged to the Assyrian Church of the East in SF. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, cooking and traveling.
Robert D. Forrest
Robert Forrest, 68, of Turlock passed away May 26 at Emanuel Medical Center in Turlock. He was born January 1942 in Barnsdall, Okla. to R.D. and Georgia Forrest. After he graduated high school he enlisted in United States Army in 1962 from Fresno and served a four-year term. He worked in agriculture and settled in Turlock 30 years ago.

Doris "Murine" Havens
Doris Murine Fillman Havens was born in St. Petersburg, Penn. on June 14, 1922. She was named Doris Murine but very few people used her given first name, even her parents. She attended the local schools, and after graduating from high school, she enrolled in nurses training at West Penn Hospital in Pittsburg, Penn.
