Robert, 82, of Turlock died Friday Feb. 3rd at Emanuel Medical Center. Bob was born to Chester & Lula Anderson in Minneapolis, MN. His early childhood was spent in Wisconsin. Moving to Hilmar, CA at age 6, he attended Hilmar schools and loved pitching softball. He was drafted into the Army during the Korean conflict. While still in the Army in Japan, Bob continued his love of softball and pitched many games on a competitive team.

Betty Taylor, 80, of Turlock, passed away at Turlock Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Betty was born in Kings County, CA to Lloyd and Lillian Taylor, the last survivor of seven children. She grew up on the farm and attended schools in the southern Central Valley. Betty worked at home helping to maintain their home and make it a neat, clean, healthy, happy place. Jeannette Haran Barbot

Jeannette Haran Barbot was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina to Pierre Haran and Marie Biscaichipy, French Basque immigrants. She passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 29, 2012. She lived 92 years as a kind, compassionate, loving woman, dedicated to God, family and friends.

Lincoln Esau

Lincoln Esau, 92, of Denair, passed away at Alexander Cohen Hospice House. Lincoln was born in Aberdeen, Idaho to Henry and Mary (Unruh) Esau. The family moved to Kerman, California when Lincoln was 6 months old where he completed his high school education. He has worked in and around agriculture all throughout his life. Lincoln completed an Associate Degree in Agriculture at Pierce Agricultural College. He joined the Air Force in 1943 and served four years on active duty before continuing in the Air Force Reserves until 1971 when he retired from the military as a Major.

Ruth Boyer, 82, of La Mirada, CA passed away on Thursday, January 19 at Memorial Medical Center in Modesto, CA. She was born in Turlock to Joseph and Mary Morris. She was raised in the Turlock/Hilmar area and graduated from Hilmar High School in 1948. She was married to James Boyer in 1949, and they lived in Southern California most of their lives. She was a member of the Catholic Church and attended church every where she lived. She enjoyed watching sports especially L.A. Lakers and S.F. 49ers.

Austin Cowan

Austin Cowan, 85, loved BBQ, ragtime tunes, joking around, and reminiscing about working for "Ma Bell." Born in Hope, NM, to Vera and Audi Cowan, he came of age during the Great Depression. A hard working and determined man, he made a career with the Bell Telephone Company helping advance our nation's communication infrastructure. Austin had an adventurous life with many chapters.

Alice went home to be with the Lord and Savior on Sept 25, 2014. Alice attended the Neighborhood Church of Redding for 30 years and was an active member of Stephens Ministries. Maria M. Nunes, 77, of Turlock, passed away Wednesday, October 8. Also known as Mary, she was born September 23, 1937 to Francicso and Maria Freitas on the island of Terceira in the Azores. She married Jose "Joe" C. Nunes in 1956 and they immigrated to the United States in 1968 with their children, Alfred and George. Mary loved to sew and was an excellent seamstress. She made suits for her husband and sons. When she was able, she would be active in Sacred Heart Church and Our Lady of Assumption in Turlock, but she was most involved with family ...
