Betty Taylor, 80, of Turlock, passed away at Turlock Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Betty was born in Kings County, CA to Lloyd and Lillian Taylor, the last survivor of seven children. She grew up on the farm and attended schools in the southern Central Valley. Betty worked at home helping to maintain their home and make it a neat, clean, healthy, happy place. Betty loved simple things: she loved to play her keyboard and sing especially Christmas songs; she enjoyed baking and drawing. She drew pictures of family and friends in their home. Jeannette Haran Barbot was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina to Pierre Haran and Marie Biscaichipy, French Basque immigrants. She passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 29, 2012. She lived 92 years as a kind, compassionate, loving woman, dedicated to God, family and friends.
Lincoln Esau, 92, of Denair, passed away at Alexander Cohen Hospice House. Lincoln was born in Aberdeen, Idaho to Henry and Mary (Unruh) Esau. The family moved to Kerman, California when Lincoln was 6 months old where he completed his high school education. He has worked in and around agriculture all throughout his life. Lincoln completed an Associate Degree in Agriculture at Pierce Agricultural College. He joined the Air Force in 1943 and served four years on active duty before continuing in the Air Force Reserves until 1971 when he retired from the military as a Major.
Dorothy (Christoffersen) Rapp passed away on January 26, 2012 in Turlock, Ca. Dorothy was born on August 21, 1918 in the family home on the 20 acre family farm on Christoffersen Road in what was then known as the Tegner District.
Ruth Boyer, 82, of La Mirada, CA passed away on Thursday, January 19 at Memorial Medical Center in Modesto, CA. She was born in Turlock to Joseph and Mary Morris. She was raised in the Turlock/Hilmar area and graduated from Hilmar High School in 1948. She was married to James Boyer in 1949, and they lived in Southern California most of their lives. She was a member of the Catholic Church and attended church every where she lived. She enjoyed watching sports especially L.A. Lakers and S.F. 49ers.
