Bobby Lee Defrance, 55, of Coalinga, died Feb. 24. He was a correctional sergeant for 22 years.
Visitation will be held from 12:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 3 at Faith Fellowship in Coalinga. A funeral service will be held at 9 a.m. on Friday, March 4 at Faith Fellowship. Interment will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, March 4 at Hilmar District Cemetery.

Jake was born in Arnhem, The Netherlands, and immigrated to the United States shortly after marrying his wife of 51 years, Jannette. Michael Kennemer was born in Texas, the son of James and Peggy Kennemer. The family moved to Alameda, Calif. when Michael was young and he attended school and graduated from Encinal High School in Alameda. He worked for 30 years in road construction as a partner with his father. Together they worked on many roads in the Santa Clara County area. Later he worked as an estimator for Paving Construction Company in the San Jose area.
Edward Meye, 71, of Denair, lost his battle with cancer at Turlock Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born to Edward H. and Elizabeth Meyer in Oakland. After his high school graduation, Edward attended trade school and got his start as an auto mechanic. For many years he ran his own business specializing in the repair of imported cars. In 1958 he married Irene Francis. They were married for 47 years before her death in 2005.
Genevieve "Vee" Baptista, 97, passed away Feb. 14 in San Diego. Genevieve was born and raised in Hughson to parents Joe and Conceicao Baptista. She married Enos Baptista in 1930, and was married for 55 years until he passed away. In 1940, Enos and Genevieve moved to Los Banos where they started a life of farming. They lived there until they retired to Santa Cruz, where she could be closer to her parents. After living in Oakdale for several years, she eventually moved back to Turlock. Janelle Noemi Godinez was born on June 28, 1977, in Watsonville to Jose and Amada Godinez. She was the loving sister of Jose, Sandra, Robert, Sophia, Francisco and Daniel Godinez. Janelle is survived by son, Andrew Sanchez. She was a loving aunt to many nephew and nieces. She also leaves behind many friends and relatives. Janelle will be greatly missed.
Marjorie Miller, 92, of Turlock, passed away at Alexander Cohen Hospice House in Hughson. Marjorie was born in Texas, one of 6 children born to Mr & Mrs Harrelson. She was raised in Missouri and attended schools in Missouri. She married Charles "Chuck" Edward Miller in Prineville, Oregon in 1945. Chuck and Marjorie and her family ran a commercial fishing business in Kenai, Alaska. She was a housewife and was involved with running the family business for 50 years.

Donald Leon Swanson crossed the threshold to Heaven on May 14th, 2015 at the age of 91. Don was born on September 17th, 1923 to Warner and Vera Swanson, pioneers of the Youngstown Colony of Swedish immigrants in Turlock, settling on Swanson Road in Delhi.
