Kathryn Lorraine Liles, beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister and aunt, passed away unexpectedly in her home last week. Born March 2, 1964 in Castro Valley, CA, Kathryn never left the state and spent her adolescence in Fremont and Gustine. She loved to bowl, to dance, to sing, to laugh, to love, and to argue (she would tell you it's just spirited debate). She was the most intelligent woman I ever knew; her mind operated a mile a minute and one never knew where conversations with her would end up.

Carol Lee Knapp, 86, of Turlock, passed away quietly at her home, surrounded by her loving family, last Friday. Loving wife, mother, Nana, great-grandmother, and friend, she was loved by all and will be greatly missed.
Ron was born in Turlock to Victor and Clara Carlson, and passed away at the age of 85. He was a graduate of Turlock High School, class of 1950. Ron was a veteran of the US Air Force, stationed in Japan during the Korean conflict. He worked in Turlock for 39 years at Thorsen's and he was the past assistant chief with Turlock Rural Fire Department. Ron was a member of New Life Christian Center since 1976. He was also a member of Turlock VFW Post 5059 and American Legion.

Thom was born in Leland, Iowa to Eli and Bertha Igebretson, grew up in Forest City, IA and graduated from Waldorf College in Forest City, IA with an Associate Degree in Architecture. Esther Johnson passed away on Sept 5,2016 at Casa de Modesto, a caring and loving community. She was born in Jasper MN Feb 20, 1912 to Frederick and Carrie Solsaa Lee. Esther graduated from Sioux Valley School of Nursing in Sioux Falls S.D. in 1934. She then moved to Stockton CA and started work at Dameron Hospital. She joined the Army Nurses Corp in 1943 and was stationed in London England for two years. Esther returned to Stockton and continued working until she married Erland (Val) Johnson and moved to Modesto. They were married for 49 years.
Alfred Lonnie Bennett peacefully passed to his heavenly home surrounded by family and friends at Alexander Cohen Hospice House in Hughson. He graduated from Livingston High School and Modesto Junior College. After his schooling, he enjoyed his time in the army where he saw places he never would have seen otherwise. Lonnie spent most of his working career at Gemperle Enterprises where he retired as the office manager.
