Stanley Ray Jantz was born on December 2, 1947 to Walter and Marie Jantz. He was known by his family and friends as Stan. Stan passed away in the early morning of November 22, 2014 in Twin Falls, Idaho with his loving wife at his side. He is survived by his wife Lori Jantz, his son, David Jantz, his grandson, Cameron Jantz, his two brothers Harvey and Richard, and his three sisters Joyce, Phyllis and Susan.
Long-time Turlock resident Samuel Tate Maddox died peacefully at the Covenant Village Care Center, Friday evening, November 21. He was 98. He was born in Atlanta, GA, January 24, 1916 to Charles and Maude Sibyl Maddox and was one of seven children. He married his high school sweetheart, Carlotta Iva Althizer, in 1936. They had 3 sons. She pre-deceased him in 1970. He was a World War II Army veteran. Worked many years for Quaker Oats Co. later moving to Turlock
Helen Fullmer, 83, of Turlock, passed away at home after a short illness. Helen was born in Modesto CA and graduated from Modesto High School in 1950. She married Lloyd Fullmer in the spring of 1951. She received an LVN degree and worked as a nurse for 25 years. Helen was a very artistic person. She enjoyed quilting, doll making, pottery, and after retirement, began painting. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
Jeffrey Lee Brown, 35, of Irvine, CA died November 17 from the devastating disease of ALS. He was born on February 19, 1979 in Yuma, Arizona. He graduated from Liberty University Law School in May of 2013, passed the California state bar and started working as a lawyer in April of 2014.
Rodney Dean "Rod" Geving, 61, Dickinson, died Thursday, October 23, 2014 at St. Mary's Hospital, Rochester, Minn., after losing his battle with cancer. Services for Rodney will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, November 1, 2014 at Our Redeemer's Lutheran Church, New England, with Rev. Bruce Peterson officiating. Inurnment will follow at the Rainy Butte Cemetery, south of New England. Military honors will be provided by the New England American Legion Anton Ulijohn Post 66. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday.
David N. Sondeno, 89, of Turlock passed away peacefully on Sat. Nov. 8th surrounded by family. David was born in Norway to John and Esther Sondeno, and as a young boy the family immigrated to the U.S. and settled in Stanislaus Co.
George Clair Humphrey, age 63. Of Vancouver, Washington passed away in Turlock on November 11.
