Pearl Argenta Lewis

Pearl was born in Auburn, CA to Walter and Juanita Lang in 1927. She lived in Loomis for three years on an apple ranch before moving to Cupertino and then settling in Turlock in 1937. In 1947 she married David H. Lewis and they shared 64 years of marriage before his passing in 2011. Pearl worked for AT&T for 37 years. Eleven years ago, Pearl and David moved to Stockton and during that time attended Woodbridge Community Church.

Arlene Rose Duncan

Arlene Duncan was born in Stockton, CA on April 26, 1941 and passed away in Hughson, CA on July 21, 2012. For the last 39 years she resided in Oakhurst, CA. Arlene was a clerk for the U.S. Postal Service for 17 years. She was a life member of Fresno Field Archers, Sierra Historical Society, Turlock Horseman Club, Fresno 4 Wheelers Club, and she was also a 4-H horse leader.

Gerald L. (Jerry) Pankratz went to be with his Lord and Savior on July 18, 2012. He passed away very peacefully, after a very short but fierce battle with cancer, with his family surrounding him at the Hospice House of San Joaquin County. John Delgado, 53, of Delhi, died tragically in a motorcycle accident near his home in Delhi. John was born in McAllen, TX, one of twelve children born to Lazaro and Aniceta (Garcia) Delgado. The family moved to Turlock, CA when John was 6. He graduated in 1977 from Turlock High School and married his high school sweetheart Laurie Silva shortly afterward. John was a rugged outdoorsman. He enjoyed the mountains, four-wheeling, archery, motorcycling, and muscle cars. But, he truly loved his beautiful wife and family and his church.

Mary Lois Bare

Mary Lois Bare, 91, of Hilmar, passed away at Turlock Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. Mary Lois was born in Arkansas to Julius and Thelma Wegel. She attended schools in Arkansas. After High School graduation she married Charles Bare, a Seaman with the Merchant Marine. They settled in California, first in the Bay Area and then in the Central Valley in 1968. They were married nearly 62 years when he passed away in 2005.

Bobbie Cheves, 87, of Turlock passed away peacefully on February 18, 2015. Bobbie was born in Shawnee, Oklahoma. When she was young, her family moved to Pittsburg, CA. As a senior in high school, Bobbie moved to Modesto where she graduated from Modesto High School. She married Gene in 1947 and they raised their family in Ceres, CA. Pete Stavrianoudakis

Pete Stavrianoudakis, passed away last Saturday at his home, surrounded by his family. He was born on February 28, 1936 to Pantelis and Maria Stavrianoudakis. He was a lifelong resident of Hilmar, where he attended grammar school and graduated from Hilmar High School. Pete was a farmer in Hilmar for most of his life and was involved with several community organizations including, Hilmar FFA, Valley Tractor Pullers Association, Hilmar Footbal Boosters and was a member of the Hilmar Lions Club since 1968. He was also a member of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Modesto.

William Joseph Larson “Bill”

Bill was born and raised in Turlock. He graduated from Turlock High School in 1971 and CSU Stanislaus in 1975. Bill was very active in sports throughout his school years, playing basketball and baseball and later traveling overseas with Athletes in Action and Sports Ambassadors. Bill was an evangelist for all of his adult life. He started evangelism classes at Monte Vista Chapel and enjoyed teaching Bible studies. Bill gave generously of himself to others, investing in their lives. He was a substitute teacher with Turlock School District for many years.
