Liza Oroumieh was born in Almawar, Russia. She moved to Urmia, Iran and married Samson of Abdolah Kandi. They went on to have a total of six children. She lived in Urmia, Masjed, Suleiman and Tehran. She moved to Chicago in 1976 with family, then moved to Turlock in 1983, where she resided until her passing.

Visitation for Jose Matilde Perez, 63, of Ceres, will be held from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 15 at Whitehurst, Norton & Dias Funeral Chapel in Turlock. A Rosary service will be held at 7 p.m. on April 15, also at Whitehurst, Norton & Dias. A funeral mass will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, April 16 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1200 Lyons Ave., Turlock. Burial will be at Turlock Memorial Park.
Edna “Pearl” Sullivan
Edna "Pearl" Sullivan, 84, of Ceres, passed away peacefully on Sunday at Brandel Manor. She was born in Call City, Okla. She came to California in earlier years with her husband, Wesley, by way of Texas and Arizona. They raised their family and stayed busy working in the food industry. They enjoyed traveling and eating out. In their travels, they often went back to Arkansas, Oklahoma and Arizona to visit family and old friends.
Mary Olive (Hooten) Aronhalt
Mary Aronhalt was born to Hugh and Gertrude Oldham in Crocker, Mo. She went through school in Missouri and married Noble Hooten in St. Louis, Mo. in 1946. He passed away in 1963, after 17 years of marriage. Mary was a hard worker. Thomas Vieira Perry, Jr.
Tom Vieira Perry was born in Ceres, Calif. to Thomas and Mary Perry on Sept. 24, 1952. His father passed at a early age and so the children, along with their mother, worked the family dairy in Denair. He attended Gratton School and graduated from Hughson High in 1969. He enlisted in the Army at the age of 18 and was sent to Vietnam. While in the military, he was trained in engine repair, which after his return home became his life work.

Harnam Singh
Harnam Singh, 86, of Merced, passed away on Tuesday in Merced. He was born in India to Thakar Das and Partapi Kaur in 1924. Harnam was a banker for 40 years in India. He immigrated to San Jose in 1990, and then settled in Merced in 2002. He was a member of the Livingston Sikh Temple. Harnam loved to read. God and family were his life.
