Maria Trindade Nunes, 79, of Atwater, died Tuesday. She was born in 1931 in Corvo, Azores. She was a homemaker for 54 years and a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church of Atwater.
She is survived by her husband, Daniel Batista Nunes of Atwater; son, James A. Nunes of Los Banos; daughters, Maria Elizabeth Teixeira and Julie M. Cabrito, both of Atwater; four grandchildren; and one great grandchild.

Florence Moore, 97, of Santa Rosa, passed away at Vintage Brush Creek Assisted Living Care Center in Santa Rosa.
She was born in Turlock to Louis and Ethel Domecq and was the last survivor of their 10 children. Florence grew up in Denair and married Donald Moore of Denair. They lived to Richmond during the years when their three children were born. Later they moved to Whittier. Throughout those years Florence was active in PTA, YMCA and sang in Methodist church choirs. Linda Beckhart, 59, of Ceres, lost her long battle with cancer at Memorial Medical Center. The daughter of William and Doris Mason, Linda was born in Sebring, Ohio and began her schooling there. When she was 11 years old the family moved to Compton. They lived in Southern California where she met and married Robert Beckhart in December 1970. Ben Lopez, 79, died suddenly on Wednesday at his residence in Newman. Mr. Lopez was born and raised in San Leandro. He enlisted in the National Guard in 1951, and reenlisted in the United States Army in 1952. He earned several medals, including Army Occupation Medal (Germany), Good Conduct Medal, and National Defense Service Medal.
