Diana Lynn Campiotti, a beautiful and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away after a lengthy illness. Diana loved her family with all of her heart. From an early age, she developed a passion for rescuing dogs that continued throughout her entire life. Diana loved to travel and went on many trips with family and friends. Her charm was exemplified by her strong and loving personality. Diana will be missed dearly, but her family finds comfort in knowing that she is free of pain and home with our Heavenly Father.
Gloria Mendonca was born at home in Hughson, CA on Nov. 19, 1928 to Joe and Mary Morris. She graduated from Hilmar High School in 1947. She worked as a bank teller in Turlock until she met and married a handsome young man from Newman, Jim Mendonca. On January 18, 1948 they married and lived in Newman where they started their family. Glenn Yates passed away peacefully at Garden City Health Care Center in Modesto on January 5, 2017. He was 79 and a long time resident of Denair. Glenn was born to James and Athalone Yates July 16, 1937 in Kenova, West VA. He came to California in the 1960s and owned and operated a septic tank company for over 30 years.
Dorothy E. Sorrell, of Turlock, passed away peacefully at her home after a long and valiant battle with cancer. The youngest child of James and Mary Hornbeck, Dorothy was raised on the family ranch in Stevinson, attending schools there and in Hilmar where she was very active in sports and band. She continued to cherish friendships from her school days.
Annie was born in 1928 as the youngest of 8 children in Winters, Texas to the late Charles and Annie Hendricks. The family moved to California in 1947, settled in Ceres, and began attending First Baptist Church in Modesto. She attended Ceres High School. She married Edward Madsen in 1949. Raised 3 children- Janna, Gary and Jim. Worked in management with Ed for Sprouse Ritz department store and co-owned Northway Variety Store in downtown Hughson. Margaret Anita Hunter was born in Oakland, CA to Robert Sr. & Vada (Hughes) Prusso on December 30, 1919. A beautiful child, she was "discovered" at age 3 while playing on the beach and then signed to act in "Our Gang" shorts, the predecessor to "The Little Rascals". As a child, she lived briefly in Oklahoma where she survived a tornado and later, in 1933, the Long Beach CA. earthquake.
Joseph Carl Stout, 86, of Turlock, passed away on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at Memorial Hospital. Joseph was born in Lancaster, Ohio and enlisted in the United States Air Force after he graduated from High School. After his honorable discharge he lived in southern California where he married his wife Gerralyn Quinn on December 1, 1956. Joseph was a Civil Engineer for 35 years. He settled in Turlock four years ago.
On Christmas night, December 25, 2016, Edward Joseph Enos, 81 years old left this earth to be in heaven. A loving husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather, and great grand father. He will be remembered forever in our hearts.
