Arby was a student at Modesto Seventh Day Adventist Academy and transferred to Turlock High his senior year where he sang in several assemblies and graduated in 1957. Helen George, age 100, of Turlock passed away on Sunday, January 6, 2013 at Paramount Court in Turlock. She was born November 21, 1912 to Serafin and Lena Azevedo in Sacramento, California. She moved to Stevenson, California in 1925. She married John F. George in 1931. She settled in Turlock in 1935 and belonged to Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Turlock and S.P.R.S.I #130. She enjoyed cooking and baking, she also had a passion for sewing and crocheting.
After a brief illness, Della made her journey home peacefully, surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was 37 years old. Della enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest. She was kind and giving and could bring a smile to anyone's face when she walked into a room.
