Jeannette Haran Barbot was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina to Pierre Haran and Marie Biscaichipy, French Basque immigrants. She passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 29, 2012. She lived 92 years as a kind, compassionate, loving woman, dedicated to God, family and friends.
Lincoln Esau, 92, of Denair, passed away at Alexander Cohen Hospice House. Lincoln was born in Aberdeen, Idaho to Henry and Mary (Unruh) Esau. The family moved to Kerman, California when Lincoln was 6 months old where he completed his high school education. He has worked in and around agriculture all throughout his life. Lincoln completed an Associate Degree in Agriculture at Pierce Agricultural College. He joined the Air Force in 1943 and served four years on active duty before continuing in the Air Force Reserves until 1971 when he retired from the military as a Major.

Ruth Boyer, 82, of La Mirada, CA passed away on Thursday, January 19 at Memorial Medical Center in Modesto, CA. She was born in Turlock to Joseph and Mary Morris. She was raised in the Turlock/Hilmar area and graduated from Hilmar High School in 1948. She was married to James Boyer in 1949, and they lived in Southern California most of their lives. She was a member of the Catholic Church and attended church every where she lived. She enjoyed watching sports especially L.A. Lakers and S.F. 49ers.

Elizabeth M. Barrett, 80, formerly of Turlock and Modesto died on October 23 after an extended period of declining health. Liz was born, raised and married in Lowell, MA. She and her husband, Tom lived for a time in East Lansing, MI and then in Stanford, CA before settling in Turlock as one of the founding families of the new Stanislaus State College (now known as CSU Stanislaus). Gladys Linnea Mathews,99, was born in March of 1915 to Jonas and Elizabeth Nyman in Wausa, Nebraska. The youngest of five children, she came to California with her family as a young woman and met Carl in Oakland and they married in 1936. They were married for 50 years, ministering as church-planters to communities in the area and foothills. She was known for her kindness and generosity and welcomed visitors with coffee and her renowned baking and cooking. She loved music, travel, collected dolls and wrote poetry. Eleanor,94, was born in the Visalia area to Francisco and Leunora Cardoza in 1920 and passed away in Turlock at the age of 94. She married Albert Brindeiro and they had two children and shared over 60 years of marriage before his passing in 2004. Together they owned a dairy which she helped manage for 62 years. In 1982, their son Glenn passed in a tragic accident; the loss of her son was very difficult and life was never the same for Eleanor.

Sam Cross, 65, died peacefully at Alexander Cohen Hospice House in Hughson, CA after a year-long struggle with cancer. He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Cyndy, and his sister Susie Sellers (Duncan) of Colorado Springs CO, brother-in-law Steve (Glenda) Flentje of Fullerton CA, and mother-in-law Bev Flentje of Payson AZ.
