Ken Danielson was born and raised in Turlock where he attended school and then served in the Army Air Corp from 1942-1946. After attending Cal Poly he began his career and eventually became the Agricultural Commissioner for Contra Costa County.
Maxine, 87, passed away peacefully on June 30th at the Alexander Cohen Hospice House in Hughson, CA, surrounded by loved ones. She was born in Oklahoma to Floyd and Argie Reddell; the 6th of 12 children. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 66 years, Harold L. Wadlington (2009) and all of her siblings except for one sister. She is survived by her 2 daughters; Joanie Lindquist (Harold) of Turlock, Jeannie Jensen (Gerry) of Turlock, and her sister, Norma Lee Gadberry of Caruthers, CA.
Eldora Schwab, 91, of Turlock, CA went peacefully into the presence of her Lord and Savior on June 15, 2012. Born in Turlock in 1921, and graduating from Turlock High School, she attended Modesto Junior College and Samuel Merritt Hospital (RN course) in Oakland. Later, she also took courses at Columbia Bible College in South Carolina.
Jim Parker, 69, a longtime resident of Turlock, passed away at the Alexander Cohen Hospice House on Sunday June 24th 2012, after a lengthy illness. Jim was born in Berkley, CA and spent his childhood years in Hayward, CA.
Gilbert E. Townsend, 85 of Turlock, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home with his loving wife, Sara, by his side. Gilbert was born and raised in Minnesota, and moved to California in 1962. Formerly of Newark, Ca, Gilbert came to Turlock in 1987, at which time he became an active member of the Berkeley Ave Baptist Church and has remained a faithful member until his passing.
Charlene was born in Ashland, Kentucky to Charles and Addie Lawson in 1920 and is one of six children. She spent her childhood living in several West Virginia towns and graduated from Parkersburg High School. If you asked her where she was from she'd always say she was proud to be a West Virginia mountaineer.
Mavis Kronberg, 92, died peacefully in Turlock. Mavis was born in Trade Lake, Wisconsin, the oldest of five siblings to Carl and Esther (Larson) Brask. She was raised in rural Wisconsin, earned a teaching certificate, and taught in a one-room schoolhouse. In 1948 she married Joe Kronberg and moved to the Kronberg farm in Hilmar where they worked side by side and raised four boys.

Marge Nunes, 92, passed away peacefully on June 18, 2012, at her home in Keyes after living with Parkinson's disease since 2008. Marge was born Margaret Irene Souza on January 6, 1920 to Tillie and John Souza at their home, also in Keyes. She attended Keyes Elementary School and graduated from Turlock High School in 1938. Marge married George Nunes in 1939. Two years later they moved into the home they would share until his death in 1993 and where she would continue to live on her own until her own death.
Grace Niehaus, 88, passed away in Modesto, CA, on June 14, 2012, after a lengthy illness. She was born on November 30, 1923, in Hughson, CA, to John and Mary Sequeira. Grace attended and graduated from Livingston High School in 1941. She was employed by Bank of America as the first teller at the Livingston branch and later became an Escrow Officer at various title agencies in Merced and Fresno.
Stetpen Andrew Regas of Turlock was born 10-13-1944 and passed 5-28-2015. he was a gentle man, tender in heart, generous in spirit. He is survived by his daughter Rachel Duarte, son in law Tony Duarte & three grandsons Micah, Noah & Elijah Duarte. Services will be June 4th at 11 am at Turlock Memorial Park.
Louise Adele Marchant, 88, of Turlock, passed away May 26 at Doctors Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. She was the second daughter born in 1926 to Leopoldo and Confida Poggi, Italian immigrants, in San Francisco.
Marjorie Miller, 92, of Turlock, passed away at Alexander Cohen Hospice House in Hughson. Marjorie was born in Texas, one of 6 children born to Mr & Mrs Harrelson. She was raised in Missouri and attended schools in Missouri. She married Charles "Chuck" Edward Miller in Prineville, Oregon in 1945. Chuck and Marjorie and her family ran a commercial fishing business in Kenai, Alaska. She was a housewife and was involved with running the family business for 50 years.
