Ann Barbara Brazil 85, of Modesto, passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2012. Ann was the only child born to George and Rosine Engelhart.
Blanche E. Anderson, 100, of Turlock, died Thursday at Covenant Care Center in Turlock after a long illness.
Marie Rose Mora, 89, and Hilarion Mora, 94, of Turlock, both passed away at home. Rose passed on January 3 and Hilarion passed on January 8.
Bernice Alvernaz was born Sept. 6, 1923 in Lakeview, Oregon to George W. Dumm and Gertie C. Mikel Dumm. Her family left Oregon when she was 6 months old. First they moved to Hemet, CA and later to Hanford, CA. A few years later they moved to Modesto, Ceres area before finally landing in Turlock.
"Oneta" B. Hager, 90 passed away from a lingering illness on the morning of December 30, 2011 in Turlock, CA. She was born to John and Maudie Barton in Rush Springs, OK March 21, 1921. Oneta, her husband, and her small child "hitch-hiked" from Marlow, OK to Woodville, CA. in 1940. She has resided in Turlock since 1955.
Patricia Lillian Atherstone Yates, a lifelong resident of Turlock and Denair, passed away on Dec. 16, 2011, at the age of 93.

Claudia was preceded in death by her mother. She is survived by her father and three siblings: Sophia Alexi of Turlock, Robert Brimoanbi of Hawaii, and Albert Brimoanbi of Turlock.
Ila passed away peacefully in Turlock at the age of 94. She is predeceased by her husband William Versol Crow. She is survived by her three children, Sandy Snelling of Turlock, Judy Forrette (Gary) of San Mateo, and Gary Crow (Donna) of Cahone, Colorado. She was grandmother to nine, great-grandmother to 15, and great-great-grandmother to six. She is also survived by her sister Muriel Hartsell of Sonora, her sister-in-law OnaLou Lovelady Carter of Modesto, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Everett Beasley of Ceres CA passed away peacefully at Elness Convalesent Hospital in Turlock on September 7, 2014 at the age of 96. Born on July 11, 1918 in Rogersville, Missouri, Everett was the only child of Ernest and Eva Beasley.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 16, 2014 from 12pm - 6pm at Allen Mortuary with the Rosary to follow at 8pm at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Turlock.

Hilda Ventura, age 79, passed away peacefully at Alexander Cohen Hospice House with her family by her side. She was born in Modesto to Frank and Rose Oliveira and lived most of her life in Turlock. She was married to her husband Louie Ventura for 60 years. Hilda worked for American Thread Company for 20 years until they closed. She retired from Emanuel Medical Center as a cook. Neomi was born, raised, married and passed away peacefully from pancreatic cancer in Hilmar, Ca. The youngest daughter of the town Blacksmith, Neomi, was born in the first house built in Hilmar Township, which still stands today. She received all of her education at Hilmar Schools graduating from Hilmar H.S. in 1939. She was involved with sport activities, cheer and drama. Upon graduation she was a nanny for a neighbor.
