Paul was born and raised in Turlock. He graduated from Turlock High School in 1969. He graduated from Armstrong business College in Berkeley, CA. Paul worked locally and resided in Modesto. In retirement he moved to Boise, ID, where he enjoyed friends and neighbors. Paul leaves behind 2 brothers in Turlock; Stephen (Noma) Arakelian and Brian (Phoebe) Arakeliean. He also leaves behind 5 nieces and nephews. His humor and insights will be greatly missed by all who knew him. No services are scheduled.

Kayla had spent months battling leukemia, and this final battle was more then she was able to overcome. Kayla spent twenty years teaching all of us how to live, love, laugh, and embrace life with more intensity then most of us are capable of. In 1966 her family moved to Winters, CA where she graduated from Winters High School in 1972 and began working at Blueberry Hill Restaurant in 1973. Meet worked for A&W in Turlock, Cindy's Restaurant, Almond Tree Restaurant and later for Creative Alternatives as a Special Education Aide. On June 8, 1991 she married Keith Lea. Meet belonged to the Sikh Temple in West Sacramento.

Valeri was born Feb. 16, 1956; to Charles and Annette Willett in El Paso, Texas. Valeri married Gerard Klimbal on June 29, 1985 at Sacred Heart Church in Turlock Ca. and was blissfully married for almost 30 years. Valeri was a wonderful and loving wife, daughter, sister and aunt. Robert F. Barragan, Sr., age 89, passed away peacefully at home in Turlock on Friday, March 6, 2015. He was born in Mexicali, MX and immigrated to Brawley, CA at a young age. Robert attended school only till 8th grade, noticing that contributing to his family was precedent. A man who appreciated hard-work and dedication to craft, Robert enjoyed physical labor and taking care of his family, attributes that would continue throughout his livelihood. Robert and his wife moved to Turlock, CA in 1957 making it their permanent residence.
Eugene (Gene) was born in Turlock, California, on October 25, 1920, to Mr. Noah W. Pearson and Mrs. Eva Charlotte Pearson. Gene attended Turlock grades schools, and graduated from Turlock High in 1938. He then went to U.C. Berkeley and received his BS in Mechanical Engineering (with a Chemistry minor) in 1943. From there he went to Cornell University for his Commission as Ensign USNR. Then on to active duty with the Fleet for 2-1/2 years as Engineering Officer of the Destroyer, USS Edison DD439, in both the Mediterranean and Pacific action.
Jamshid Ghardashem, age 75, passed away after a long fight against cancer. He was a gentle, patient, kind, generous, and compassionate man, loving to all those who crossed his path, and with a delightful sense of humor.
ughson, passed away at Emanuel Medical Center after complications from a recent illness. Janice was born in Turlock's old Emanuel Hospital. She grew up in the Turlock area, graduated from Turlock High School, and married Michael Atwood in 1974 in Carson City, Nevada. In 1978 she helped start the family business, Big Valley Pallet Co. She has worked their ever since that time. Janice loved her family and her cats. She worked with the Hughson Twentieth Century Club to raise funds for the high school.
She is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Jesus Tapia, and three children: Jose M. (Sophia) Chavez of Turlock, Rosa (Juan Pablo) Vallejo of Turlock, and Jesus Ventura (Josefa Sanchez) of Turlock; 4 sisters, 2 brothers, and 7 grandchildren. She was greatly loved and will be deeply missed.
Mary Lois Bare, 91, of Hilmar, passed away at Turlock Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. Mary Lois was born in Arkansas to Julius and Thelma Wegel. She attended schools in Arkansas. After High School graduation she married Charles Bare, a Seaman with the Merchant Marine. They settled in California, first in the Bay Area and then in the Central Valley in 1968. They were married nearly 62 years when he passed away in 2005.
Carlene Anna Voight was born in Turlock, CA to Karl and Bertha Whipkey and lived almost her entire life in Stanislaus County. Raised with her two brothers Ronald and Richard, the only time Carlene lived outside the county was for 14 months when her family lived in Alaska.
Carol Hawkins passed away peacefully at home, on April 21st, 2015 at the age of 98. She was the youngest of four girls born to G.W. and Emily Scholl in Seattle, Washington, and grew up near Lake Washington. She loved the clam-digging summers at her family's summer home on Bainbridge Island.
Lilly (Liz) Cole was born in Madera, CA on March 12, 1940. She passed away in Merced on Monday, April 20, 2015 at the age of 75. Lilly worked for over 30 years as a waitress. One of her favorite past times were her shopping trips to Wal*Mart. The most important thing in her life was her children and grandchildren. Lilly loved baking and decorating cakes. During the holidays her family members would all stop by to pick up their goodie plates of cookies and candies.
