Ernest D. Howard went to be with the Lord on Dec. 7 at his home with family and friends around him. He suffered with pain for many years because of polio in his youth and dealt with cancer at the end of his life.
Raymond Felix, 73, died peacefully on Dec. 13, 2010, with his family by his side at his home in Crowslanding, Calif. Raymond was born in August 1937 in San Antonio, Texas to the late Raymond and Cristine Felix.

Sam Passalaqua, 94 of Turlock, died Dec. 13 in Turlock. He was born in 1916 in Wyandotte, Mich. He was a farmer for 80 years.
Clitheroe Dean Olivera was born in Oakland to James and Florence McGarva.
She is survived by daughters, Joan and Diane; and son, James.
Raymond L. Smith, 89 of Denair, passed away Thursday at Elness Convalescent Hospital. Mr. Smith was born in February 1921 in Maximo, Ohio, to the late Harry and Bertie Smith. He was drafted into the United States Marine Corps in 1942, and received his honorable discharge in 1946. He came to California in 1964, and married Rose Smith in 1973. They lived in the Russian River area until they settled in Denair seven years ago. He owned Rays Refrigeration for over 45 years. He belonged to the V.F.W. of Monte Rio, and enjoyed shooting a game of pool.
Saundra Baker, 66, died Nov. 24 at her residence in Turlock. She was born December 1943, in Loveland, Colo. to the late Robert and Theresa Baker. She was raised in the Bronx, and lived in Fall River, Mass. before living in Illinois. She settled in Turlock 20 years ago, and attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She recently lived in St. Thomas retirement center, which she enjoyed very much. Saundra was an artist with a passion for ballroom dancing. She enjoyed cats and loved to travel.
Saul Humberto Lopez, 48 of Delhi, passed away on Sunday , the day of our Lady of Guadalupe. He was born in Sinaloa, Mexico to Gonzalo and Maria del Rosario in 1962. He worked as a farm laborer for 27 years.
Henry J. DeBoer, 71 of Turlock, passed away peacefully on Dec. 8 at his residence. He was born in January 1939, in Meadville, Penn. to the late Henry and Dorothy DeBoer. He was raised in Wisconsin. He served in the United States Air Force from 1959 to 1963 and was stationed at Castle Air Force Base. He settled in Turlock in 1972, and was a real estate broker for over 36 years. He belonged to the Kiwanis Club, SIRS and the First United Methodist Church. Henry enjoyed golfing and loved flying planes.
Lewis Walters, 69 of Denair, passed away on Sunday at Elness Convalescent Hospital in Turlock. He was born in Escondido to William (Bill) and Helen Walters in 1941. Lewis was raised in Escondido, Livingston and Hilmar. He graduated from Hilmar High School in 1960. He lived in Denair for almost 30 years. Lewis was a truck driver and scrap metal man during his working years. Lewis was disabled by a massive stroke in April 1997. He was in the loving care of Elness Convalescent Hospital in Turlock for the last six and half years

Jay Jensen was born on January 28, 1933, in Luck, Wisconsin, and passed away surrounded by his family on September 17, 2014, in Turlock, California. He was a loving and dedicated husband, father, and grandfather, but to many others he was known as the owner of the 7-Eleven on Geer Road in Turlock. He was a proud veteran who served in the Air Force in Tripoli from 1952 - 1956. After his military service, he moved to Michigan where he became a senior product designer for Hamill Manufacturing where he held two patent designs, most notably the retractable seatbelt. Marie Livingston, 89, of Turlock, passed away peacefully at Brandel Manor. Marie was born in Martin, South Dakota to Neil and Bessie O'Blenness. She grew up in Wenatchee, Washington, graduating from Wenatchee High School. Marie married the love of her life, Oliver Livingston, in December of 1943 while he was in the Army Air Corps. She cared for their first-born daughter, Barbara, during Oliver's tour of duty in Europe during World War II. Her family grew to five lovely children who celebrate her life.

Douglas Lee, age 52, passed away after a brief illness in Aptos, CA. A native of Turlock, Doug was a 1980 graduate of Turlock High, and received his BS degree in Geology from Stanislaus State University.
Kathryn was born on May 6, 1927 to George and Bessie Hendryx in Salisaw OK. She came to Turlock, CA with her parents and brother, Jacob in 1942. She went to work for California Frozen Foods where she met Robert "Bob" Holder, the one and only love of her life. They were married on June 22, 1945 and spent 69 wonderful years together.
Alice Pera Yonan, 88, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2014. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Joseph Una Yonan, and sister, Diane Pera Yohannan. She is survived by her son, David Yonan, and daughter, Dina Yonan Gehring, her two sisters, Lillian Pera Abraham and Mariam Pera Miroo, and brother-in-law Albert D. Miroo. Shara Nickole Valadez, 21, died September 9, 2014. She was born December 10, 1992, in Salinas, California to Moises Alvarez and Sandra G. Alvarez. She grew up in Salinas until grade 4 when the family moved to the Central Valley. Shara attended Wakefield School, Dutcher School and Turlock High where she met the love of her life and future husband Chris Valadez. She attended Merced College as an Ag Business Major and worked at Home Depot. She is preceded in death by her brother Moses Alvarez, and Grandfather Guadalupe Alvarez.
