He was born in Bakersfield in 1939 and was a fork lift operator for army supplies. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Turlock.

Thomas Ramirez

Thomas passed from this earth on Feb. 4, 2011. He was born on Dec. 3, 1945, to Albert Ramirez and Liola Sears. Thomas was originally from Scottsbluff, Neb., but lived in Stanislaus County with his wife Laura for the past five years. They traveled around for several years before settling in Modesto.

Delton Nyman, 70, of Hilmar, passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus at his home on Sunday after a long battle with cancer.
He was truly a life-long Hilmar resident, since he was born on the south side of August Avenue and passed away on the north side. Marina K. Atherton, 60, of Modesto, was born in Inglewood and passed away unexpectedly Thursday at Doctors Medical Center.
Marina moved to Modesto in 1959, and attended local schools graduating from Davis High School in 1969. In 1970 she married George Atherton.
She enjoyed sewing and knitting, and baking throughout the year. Every holiday was made special by her artistic touch in the kitchen, making her treats unique and much appreciated by her loved ones. Patricia Ann Pierce, 78, passed away Feb. 7, 2011, at Alexander Cohen Hospice House in Hughson.
She was born in September 1932 to Ivan and Gladys Wilharm in Waterloo, Iowa. She lived in Plainfield, Iowa and married James Pierce in 1951. They moved to the Bay Area in 1959, then moved to Denair in

Wesley “Dick” Ernest Browning

Wesley Ernest Browning was born on June 3, 1916 to proud parents Tom and Lou Browning. He was one of eight brothers and three sisters.
He worked in the Texas CCC Camps. He proudly served in WW II. When he returned home he married Bernice Lillian Browning. They had five children, four boys and one girl.

Sandra Burns, 55, of Turlock, passed away at Memorial Hospital. She was born in Beckley, W.V. to Charles and Alma Plumley in 1955. Sandra was raised in Shady Spring, W.V. She met Larry Burns in 1973, and they married in 1975. Larry was in the Marines, so they lived in many places, until they finally settled in Turlock in 1987. Mary Genevieve Pereira

Mary Pereira, 86, of Turlock, passed away at Elness Convalescent Hospital on Wednesday. Mary was born in Hughson to Casmiro and Arminda Espinola. She grew up in Hughson until her marriage to Marion Pereira in 1947. At that time they moved to Turlock. They have been members of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She was active in the Young Ladies Institute and the Sacred Heart Mothers' Guild. In addition to her homemaking, Mary enjoyed gardening and needlework. Her family has been a vital part of her life. She loved spending time with her grandchildren.
