Norene was born in Buckeye, Iowa to Bernie and Edna Evans. Her family lived in Washington for a time where Norene went to high school and later nursing school. She moved to Turlock in 1943 and has remained here since.
Linda Ann Johnson, lifelong resident of Turlock, passed away at the age of 68. She graduated from Turlock High School in 1963 and married Stanley Johnson in 1967. Linda worked at Emanuel Medical Center for 27 years; and in her spare time she enjoyed watching sports. Linda's family would like to thank Hospice of Emanuel for their tender care in the last few weeks.
Norma Emmelea Russell, 87, died November 6, 2013. She was born in Claremore, Oklahoma, the first of three children. Her family moved to California when she was just a young girl. She loved spending time with her family, taking her summer vacations in Murray, Kentucky, and she loved working in her yard with her little dog, Chuckie, at her side.
Maurice Richard Moniz Jr. (Junior), 19 of Ceres California passed away on November 8, 2013. Junior was born and raised in Ceres and graduated from Ceres High in 2012. Junior worked side by side with his dad building a family business, Moniz Tallow Company Inc. He was a momma & daddies boy. He loved to build lifted trucks, hang out with family and friends, ride his Harley and especially loved living life to the fullest "work hard play less".
Frances L. Williams – 75 of Modesto passed away on Tuesday. She was born in Cordell Oklahoma to Rosia and James Collins. Raised in Denair, Frances lived in Modesto for over 30 years and worked for Gallo for 33 years before retiring.
Tony Baltazar, 69 of Merced, passed away on November 1, 2013 after a long illness. Tony was born in Idaho and has lived in Merced for over 30 years. He is preceded in death by his parents, Juan & Sarah Baltazar, his daughter, Lisa Baltazar, and his brother, Carlos Baltazar.
Wanda went to be with the Lord on Friday November 1st surrounded by her family after a short illness. Born in Arizona, the family later moved to the Modesto area. She was a graduate of Ceres High class of 1956 and was an active member of the alumni.

He worked for various companies in construction, poultry and butchering. Rob was an avid pool player, enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a loyal friend who will be missed. Raymond Gonzales, 69, of Turlock, passed away at Emanuel Medical Center after a short illness. Raymond was born in Sacramento CA to Candelario and Casey Gonzales. He grew up in San Jose and attended schools in San Jose. Ray started working young in order to help support his family. He learned carpentry from his uncle and worked for 33 years as a home builder and 11 years in commercial construction. He loved working with wood and gardening, especially growing tomatoes. Cynthia Kay White, 50 passed away Oct 24th at her home in Turlock with her family by her side after a courageous fight with cancer. Cynthia was born in San Angelo, Tx to Bill and Ruth(Earnest) White.
