Patrick Patterson, 37, of Modesto passed away unexpectedly at Doctor's Medical Center in Modesto on Thanksgiving Day. Patrick was born in Modesto and grew up in Northern California. He graduated from San Lorenzo High School in Hayward and studied Journalism at Cal State Hayward. Patrick was well known in the area as a sports writer for the San Francisco Examiner and as a blogger for the Oakland Raiders. His family knew him as a generous, loving man. Jerry Richard Repke, 56, of Sonora entered eternal life on Friday at Sonora Regional Medical Center after battling a cancerous brain tumor. He was born in Superior, Wis. to Ronald and Norma Mae Repke. He moved to California in 1956 after the death of his father, Ronald Repke. Jerry loved the outdoors - camping, fishing, and gold panning. Melville Andre Christiansen

Melville Andre Christiansen, 88, passed away Dec. 5, 2010. He was the beloved husband of the late Beverly (1995), devoted father of Pamela Christiansen-Colon, loving grandfather of Olivia Wetherbee and Vincent (Brodi) Wetherbee, cherished great grandfather of Wyatt and Evangeline Wetherbee, and fond uncle and great uncle. LeRoy Choat, 62, of Turlock passed away at home with his family at his side on Friday, Dec. 3. He was born in Geary, Okla. to Otheo and Lula Choat in 1947. LeRoy lived in Linden, Tenn. and Turlock throughout his life. He was a master mechanic and at the end of his career he owned Tom's Creek Boat Motor Repair in Tennessee. Jake (James Katsu) Kirihara was born in Turlock and passed on to his eternal rest peacefully at his home in Livingston. Richard Allen Root

Richard Allen Root, 89, died September 18, 2014, at Elness Convalescent in Turlock. He was born March 21, 1925, in Los Angeles, California, to Frank and Emma (Berger) Root. At the age of 18 enlisted in the United States Army in the 558th Artillery Battalion. After his Honorable Discharge he settled in Turlock and attended Full Gospel Tabernacle before attending Victory Christian Church in Hilmar. Marie Livingston, 89, of Turlock, passed away peacefully at Brandel Manor. Marie was born in Martin, South Dakota to Neil and Bessie O'Blenness. She grew up in Wenatchee, Washington, graduating from Wenatchee High School. Marie married the love of her life, Oliver Livingston, in December of 1943 while he was in the Army Air Corps. She cared for their first-born daughter, Barbara, during Oliver's tour of duty in Europe during World War II. Her family grew to five lovely children who celebrate her life.

Kathryn Louise (Hendryx) Holder

Kathryn was born on May 6, 1927 to George and Bessie Hendryx in Salisaw OK. She came to Turlock, CA with her parents and brother, Jacob in 1942. She went to work for California Frozen Foods where she met Robert "Bob" Holder, the one and only love of her life. They were married on June 22, 1945 and spent 69 wonderful years together.
