Doris Keeney, 79, passed away peacefully on December 28, 2011 at Casa de Modesto. She was born September 4, 1932, in Van Nuys, CA to the late Stanley and Muriel Templeton. She was raised in southern California and came to the Turlock area as a teenager. After high school she received her Nursing Degree from Modesto Jr. College. She worked for Community Hospital in Turlock and Doctors Medical Center until retirement. Doris enjoyed bowling, camping, yard sales, baking, and making crafts.
Deward passed away at home due to natural causes. He was a native of Kentucky, attending schools there. He enlisted in the Air Force during WWII, and afterward moved to CA .He became an Electrical Contractor and owned and operated Sorrell Electric and Hardware for many years.

Jackline was born in Citrus Heights and raised in Hilmar, California. She later settled in the Ceres/Modesto area where she graduated from Ceres High School in 1974. Jackline worked for Stanislaus County for 26 years. She enjoyed dancing, gambling, traveling and spending time at the beach.

Her viewing was at Whitehurst-Norton-Dias Funeral home on Friday, December 16th from 5pm to 7pm located at 286 West Main Street in Turlock. The memorial Services will be Saturday, December 17th at 11am in Berg Hall at Covenant Village of Turlock, located at 2125 North Olive Avenue. Internment will be at Turlock Memorial Park and memorials can be given to Turlock Covenant Church or the Benevolent Fund of Covenant Village of Turlock.
Donald Carlisle Johnson was born in Berkeley, CA to Arvid and Ethel Johnson. He was the eldest of three sons. The family moved to Idaho, Washington, Indiana, and Ohio during his childhood.

Ygnacio (Nash) Molina Esquer was born in Peoria, Arizona to Jose Angel and Amelia Esquer on September 11, 1928. He was the eldest son of four and helped move his family to California in 1942. They were farm laborers and lived in the Madera and Los Banos area for many years. At 21, he married, Josephine Raya and they lived in Los Banos where they had three children (Gil, Linda and Diane). ughson, passed away at Emanuel Medical Center after complications from a recent illness. Janice was born in Turlock's old Emanuel Hospital. She grew up in the Turlock area, graduated from Turlock High School, and married Michael Atwood in 1974 in Carson City, Nevada. In 1978 she helped start the family business, Big Valley Pallet Co. She has worked their ever since that time. Janice loved her family and her cats. She worked with the Hughson Twentieth Century Club to raise funds for the high school.
Robert James Harris, founder of Lander Veterinary Clinic, died peacefully at Covenant Village Care Center on February 21, 2015 at the age of 98.
She is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Jesus Tapia, and three children: Jose M. (Sophia) Chavez of Turlock, Rosa (Juan Pablo) Vallejo of Turlock, and Jesus Ventura (Josefa Sanchez) of Turlock; 4 sisters, 2 brothers, and 7 grandchildren. She was greatly loved and will be deeply missed.

Mary Lois Bare, 91, of Hilmar, passed away at Turlock Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. Mary Lois was born in Arkansas to Julius and Thelma Wegel. She attended schools in Arkansas. After High School graduation she married Charles Bare, a Seaman with the Merchant Marine. They settled in California, first in the Bay Area and then in the Central Valley in 1968. They were married nearly 62 years when he passed away in 2005.

Bobbie Cheves, 87, of Turlock passed away peacefully on February 18, 2015. Bobbie was born in Shawnee, Oklahoma. When she was young, her family moved to Pittsburg, CA. As a senior in high school, Bobbie moved to Modesto where she graduated from Modesto High School. She married Gene in 1947 and they raised their family in Ceres, CA. After retiring from the Telephone Company, Bobbie and Gene enjoyed traveling and line dancing. She spent the last several years of her life in Turlock, CA.
