Dean Threet of Turlock passed away and went to be with his cherished and beloved wife Bev on April 11.
Dean was born in Red Oak, Okla. and spent most of his younger years in Texas. He moved to California in 1952, where he met Bev. They married on Dec. 10, 1956. They had a beautiful and inspirational marriage that lasted for more than 50 years before Bev passed in 2006.

Daisy Gabriella Miranda was granted her angel wings on April 11, 2011. She is survived by her parents, Gabriel and Erica Miranda of Livingston; siblings, Damian Garcia, Gabriel Miranda, Jr. and Eileen Miranda; and grandparents, Anthony Miranda, Sr., Cindy Carrera and Martin and Puresa Valencia.

Montana was born in Red Lodge, Mont. on Jan. 14, 1918. She attended schools in Washington State. In 1948, she began her career with the State of California, working in various departments until 1974 at which time she retired.

Don Whitmore passed away on Saturday. He was born in Elgin, Neb. in 1929 to Roland and Florence Whitmore and had two older brothers, Bruce and Richard. In the late 1930s his family moved to Atwater where they owned and operated a general store and gas station in town. James Short, 55, of Hughson, passed away peacefully on Wednesday at his residence in Hughson. He was born in 1956 in Turlock to Phillip and Kay Short. He was raised in Hughson and graduated from Hughson High School in 1974. He attended Modesto Junior College. He became a welder and had a career in heavy construction. James attended Waterford Foursquare Church. He was a cowboy, and loved leading pack trips into the wilderness. He was also artistic and creative with his welding, making metal sculptures and decor.
