Juanita Lynn Aschwanden, 64, of Turlock passed away with family by her side on Saturday, December 1, 2012. Born on August 21, 1948, she lived most of her life out in the country in Turlock. After graduating from Turlock High School in 1966, she worked as a hair dresser and married Richard Aschwanden of Turlock. Having three children, Tamara Avina, Renee Raposo, and Daren Aschwanden, the couple enjoyed a loving and strong marriage of 45 years. Most of Juanita's career was spent as an Instructional Aid for Special Education at Turlock High School.
Gene Everett Ocken, 77, of Rancho Cordova, CA, died suddenly as a result of a fall. Gene was born in Turlock, CA to Orson J. Ocken and Florence E. Ocken (Downing). He grew up in Turlock and graduated from Turlock High School in 1953. Vernon Kennedy, 50, of Turlock, died tragically as a result of a traffic accident. Vernon was born in Quesnel, British Columbia, Canada. He grew up and attended schools in Delhi, CA. After high school he went to work for Sorenson's Poultry Farm and Foster Farms where he worked as a forklift driver for five years. Vernon loved the outdoors – he enjoyed hiking, fishing, camping, and occasionally hunting cottontails. He was a fan of the Seattle Seahawks.

Born to Arvin Prentice and Mary Ann (Kidd) Ralston, Glasgow, Barren County, Kentucky. In 1918 they moved by train to Patterson, California, where she attended schools and met and married Max Elbert Denny (1913 - 1997). They moved to Livingston in 1950.
Virgil was born in San Francisco to Robert John Skogholm Larson and Elvira Rodman Larson. When he was in his teens he moved to Oakland. During his senior year in high school he joined the Navy as World War II had started.
Virginia Walton, 76, of Hilmar, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, after a short illness. Virginia was born in Seminole, Oklahoma to Ira and Lovenia (Early) Turner. Her family moved to California in 1942, where she attended school through 8th grade. Virginia married and had 5 children. She worked as a waitress for many years, bringing joy to every customer that she came in contact with.

Kevin Richard Stach, 75, of Turlock, passed away at his home on April 12, 2105. He was born July 4, 1939 in Nezperce, Idaho. After graduating from high school in Olympia, Washington he came to California and worked at the General Motors plant in Fairfield. When the plant closed and moved to Missouri he relocated there and finished his career with GM. After retiring Mr. Stach moved to Turlock. Kevin was a dune buggy enthusiast and loved working on Volkswagens. He volunteered at the Turlock V.F.W. and enjoyed cooking for their dinners and events.

Her parents, Gus Goza and Ruth Goza preceded her in death a number of years ahead of her. She leaves behind her husband Dave Zollinger of Turlock, CA; a son Robert Zollinger of Modesto, CA; a daughter Ruth Zollinger of Monterey, CA; and two grandchildren David G. Zollinger and Kara Zollinger. All of the family will indeed miss her. They so deeply loved their wife, mother and grandmother.

Cindy is survived by nephew Kevin Shute; nieces Becky Mcevoy and Nellie Shute; 8 great nieces and nephews; 17 great great-nieces and nephews. Cindy is preceded in death by her parents Jerry and Lois Brownlow; sister Penny Irene Shute and niece Lisa Sears.
Barbara was born on the Lundell homestead in May 1919, to Henry and Lydia Lundell. She and her three brothers, Kenneth, Jerry and Glenn grew up on the ranch, riding in horse and buggies to and from school and church. They also formed a small band, since music was such an important part of their youth.
