Fern Swanson, 90, died Thursday, February 2, 2012 in Turlock, California following a long illness. She was born and grew up on a farm west of Turlock. She attended Washington Grammar School, Turlock High School, and Modesto Junior College. She worked side by side with her husband, Elwood Swanson, in the early days of establishing what would later become the Swanson Farms/Associated Feed family of companies. Jeffrey Lynn Buck

Jeffrey Buck was born and raised in Turlock, Ca. and passed away on February 3, 2012 in Redding, Ca. He was an avid outdoors-man who loved fishing. Survivors include his wife Gina, 3 children, his mother Charlene Buck, brother Randy Buck, Sister Theresa Poot, and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Howard Buck, his niece Brienna Sleeman and his Grandparents. He will be greatly missed and always loved.

Robert W. Anderson

Robert, 82, of Turlock died Friday Feb. 3rd at Emanuel Medical Center. Bob was born to Chester & Lula Anderson in Minneapolis, MN. His early childhood was spent in Wisconsin. Moving to Hilmar, CA at age 6, he attended Hilmar schools and loved pitching softball. He was drafted into the Army during the Korean conflict. While still in the Army in Japan, Bob continued his love of softball and pitched many games on a competitive team.

Betty Taylor, 80, of Turlock, passed away at Turlock Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Betty was born in Kings County, CA to Lloyd and Lillian Taylor, the last survivor of seven children. She grew up on the farm and attended schools in the southern Central Valley. Betty worked at home helping to maintain their home and make it a neat, clean, healthy, happy place. Lincoln Esau

Lincoln Esau, 92, of Denair, passed away at Alexander Cohen Hospice House. Lincoln was born in Aberdeen, Idaho to Henry and Mary (Unruh) Esau. The family moved to Kerman, California when Lincoln was 6 months old where he completed his high school education. He has worked in and around agriculture all throughout his life. Lincoln completed an Associate Degree in Agriculture at Pierce Agricultural College. He joined the Air Force in 1943 and served four years on active duty before continuing in the Air Force Reserves until 1971 when he retired from the military as a Major.
