Mr. Ram Rattan, 68, was born in Navua ,Fiji Islands on Nov. 11, 1942. He went to be with God on Thursday. Born in the Fiji Islands, he lived in Suva for most of his life, then in Lakena Nausori , until he came to the United States in 1989. He worked as a golf manager and bartender for many years in the Fiji golf club. He was passionate about sports, taught golf to many, and loved being with people.

Alan David Rudd, 46, of Lockeford, Calif., died June 27, 2011 in rural Jenny Lind, Calif. as a result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. Alan was born Aug. 26, 1964 in Berkeley, Calif., the son of H. Claude and Rae Ann Rudd. He attended New Haven Elementary School and East Union High School in Manteca, Delta College in Stockton and graduated from California State University, Sacramento with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering. Alan worked as an electrical engineer for 19 years; the last 10 as a senior engineer for Pacific Gas & Electric.
Ralph Stanley Walker passed away June 28, 2011 at Emanuel Medical Center in Turlock. He was born June 1912 in Montrose, Colo. to the late Ernest and Nellie Walker. He moved to Turlock in the 1920s and graduated Turlock High School in 1929. He was an artistic painter and was also employed as a painter for 30 years.
Maxine Olson, 95, of Turlock passed away at Hylond Convalescent Hospital in Modesto on Sunday, June 26. She was born in Turlock to Joseph and Clara Holgate in 1916. She lived in Turlock all of her life. Maxine was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Turlock and a member of the Eastern Star for 50 years. She loved her pets, but God and family were her life.
Virgil Howell, 72, of Turlock passed away at home on Sunday, June 26. He was born in Merced to Clint and Elinor Howell in 1939. Virgil was raised in Stockton and lived his life in Stockton, Hayward and Turlock. He worked for UPS and FEDEX and finished his career at Elness Convalescent Hospital.

Dominic was born Oct. 31, 1987 to Mary and Dominic Coelho in Modesto. He attended Turlock High School where he played several sports and enjoyed showing dairy in FFA. His love for dairy continued while he worked as manager for the family's dairies. He was a constant source of fun, enjoying deer hunting, camping, and trips to Pismo Beach. He was a loving family member and friend who touched the hearts of all who knew him. His smile and gentle spirit will always be remembered.
Carolyn was born in 1934 to Charles and Irma Vernia in Carlisle, Ind. Later the family moved to California, where she graduated from Bell High School in 1952. She was married to the late Earl "Bud" Stevens on June 27, 1953. Carolyn was a member of Monte Vista Chapel.

Mary Caperton, 73, passed away June 27, 2011, at her residence in Keyes. She was born August 1937, in Oklahoma and came to Bakersfield at the age of 4. She lived in the Tulare and Visalia areas before settling in Keyes 45 years ago. She worked for Del Monte Foods and then Tri-Valley Growers. She enjoyed ringing the bell for the Salvation Army, attending the churches in Keyes, and working with elderly people at the convalescent hospitals.
William "Bill" Hartzell passed away peacefully on September 5th in Hughson, California. He is now with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He is gone from our sight but forever in the hearts of his family and friends. Ila passed away peacefully in Turlock at the age of 94. She is predeceased by her husband William Versol Crow. She is survived by her three children, Sandy Snelling of Turlock, Judy Forrette (Gary) of San Mateo, and Gary Crow (Donna) of Cahone, Colorado. She was grandmother to nine, great-grandmother to 15, and great-great-grandmother to six. The youngest daughter of the town Blacksmith, Neomi, was born in the first house built in Hilmar Township, which still stands today.
