Josephine Madeline Lemos passed away on Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at Turlock Nursing and Rehabilitation in Turlock. She was born on February 5, 1920 in Kerman, California to Joe and Mary Dias. She attended schools in Kerman and was married October 18, 1941 to Raymond Joseph Lemos, Sr. of Modesto, who preceded her in death on February 8, 2000.
Andrew Brydon, 88, of Turlock, passed away at Covenant Care Center. Andrew was born in California to Andrew and Frances (Gordon) Brydon. After his college graduation Andrew worked for 35 years as a Ranch Superintendent for T.B.Bishop Company.
Aaron Darrel Powers, 18, of Ceres passed away on December 14th following a vehicle accident. Aaron loved building BMX bicycles with his dad, riding dirt bikes with his brothers, being with his friends, listening to music, camping, fishing and treasured playing with his nephew Chase and niece Haylee Ann.

N. Joseph Falany Jr., known by friends and family as "Papa Joe," went to glory to be with the Lord on December 7, 2012 at the age of 91. A memorial celebration service is being held on Saturday January 5 at 1 p.m. The service location is the Mariposa Senior Center, 5246 Spriggs Ln. in Mariposa, Ca. Savon was born April 30, 1924 in Fairfax, Virginia to Samuel Richards Riggles and Helen Elizabeth Jones, their sixth child of eleven children. She married Harold Edwards and they were married until Harold's passing December 26, 1999.
Ken Shook, 85, of Turlock, passed away at Turlock Nursing & Rehabilitation Center after a long illness. Mr. Shook was born in Hanford, CA to Charles L. and Edna L. (Billingsley) Shook. His father was a minister and the family moved around. Ken went to work at Mare Island while he was in high school. Randall Jones, 57, of Turlock, passed away suddenly following a long illness. He was born in Sacramento, CA to Creighton and the late Shirley (Roach) Jones. He attended Livermore schools before graduating from Santa Cruz High School. He graduated from Cal. State Stanislaus and completed some graduate studies as well. In 1995 he suffered the traumatic loss of his daughter Kimberly Dawn Jones in a car accident, which was a devastating loss.

Juanita Lynn Aschwanden, 64, of Turlock passed away with family by her side on Saturday, December 1, 2012. Born on August 21, 1948, she lived most of her life out in the country in Turlock. After graduating from Turlock High School in 1966, she worked as a hair dresser and married Richard Aschwanden of Turlock. Having three children, Tamara Avina, Renee Raposo, and Daren Aschwanden, the couple enjoyed a loving and strong marriage of 45 years. Most of Juanita's career was spent as an Instructional Aid for Special Education at Turlock High School.
