Lincoln Esau, 92, of Denair, passed away at Alexander Cohen Hospice House. Lincoln was born in Aberdeen, Idaho to Henry and Mary (Unruh) Esau. The family moved to Kerman, California when Lincoln was 6 months old where he completed his high school education. He has worked in and around agriculture all throughout his life. Lincoln completed an Associate Degree in Agriculture at Pierce Agricultural College. He joined the Air Force in 1943 and served four years on active duty before continuing in the Air Force Reserves until 1971 when he retired from the military as a Major.
The daughter of Erma A. Hollingsworth and Eli M. Hasler, Nancy was born in Springfield, Missouri. She died early Thursday morning at Emanuel Medical Center in Turlock.
Dorothy (Christoffersen) Rapp passed away on January 26, 2012 in Turlock, Ca. Dorothy was born on August 21, 1918 in the family home on the 20 acre family farm on Christoffersen Road in what was then known as the Tegner District.
Ruth Boyer, 82, of La Mirada, CA passed away on Thursday, January 19 at Memorial Medical Center in Modesto, CA. She was born in Turlock to Joseph and Mary Morris. She was raised in the Turlock/Hilmar area and graduated from Hilmar High School in 1948. She was married to James Boyer in 1949, and they lived in Southern California most of their lives. She was a member of the Catholic Church and attended church every where she lived. She enjoyed watching sports especially L.A. Lakers and S.F. 49ers.
Ann Barbara Brazil 85, of Modesto, passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2012. Ann was the only child born to George and Rosine Engelhart.
Blanche E. Anderson, 100, of Turlock, died Thursday at Covenant Care Center in Turlock after a long illness.
Marie Rose Mora, 89, and Hilarion Mora, 94, of Turlock, both passed away at home. Rose passed on January 3 and Hilarion passed on January 8.
ughson, passed away at Emanuel Medical Center after complications from a recent illness. Janice was born in Turlock's old Emanuel Hospital. She grew up in the Turlock area, graduated from Turlock High School, and married Michael Atwood in 1974 in Carson City, Nevada. In 1978 she helped start the family business, Big Valley Pallet Co. She has worked their ever since that time. Janice loved her family and her cats. She worked with the Hughson Twentieth Century Club to raise funds for the high school.
Robert James Harris, founder of Lander Veterinary Clinic, died peacefully at Covenant Village Care Center on February 21, 2015 at the age of 98.
She is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Jesus Tapia, and three children: Jose M. (Sophia) Chavez of Turlock, Rosa (Juan Pablo) Vallejo of Turlock, and Jesus Ventura (Josefa Sanchez) of Turlock; 4 sisters, 2 brothers, and 7 grandchildren. She was greatly loved and will be deeply missed.

Mary Lois Bare, 91, of Hilmar, passed away at Turlock Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. Mary Lois was born in Arkansas to Julius and Thelma Wegel. She attended schools in Arkansas. After High School graduation she married Charles Bare, a Seaman with the Merchant Marine. They settled in California, first in the Bay Area and then in the Central Valley in 1968. They were married nearly 62 years when he passed away in 2005.
Rodrigo Jose Ortegaray beloved husband, father and grandfather went to be with Jesus this past Monday. Rodrigo was born in Managua, Nicaragua to Gustavo and Maria Ortegaray in August of 1954
She is survived by her sisters Loretta (Larry) Soares of Hilmar, Lorraine Vierra of Hilmar and Jeannie (Rick) Gonsalves of Stevinson; and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Bobbie Cheves, 87, of Turlock passed away peacefully on February 18, 2015. Bobbie was born in Shawnee, Oklahoma. When she was young, her family moved to Pittsburg, CA. As a senior in high school, Bobbie moved to Modesto where she graduated from Modesto High School. She married Gene in 1947 and they raised their family in Ceres, CA. After retiring from the Telephone Company, Bobbie and Gene enjoyed traveling and line dancing. She spent the last several years of her life in Turlock, CA.
