Nikki Lynne Whittiker, 67, of Denair went to be with her Lord and Savior on November 18, 2015. Born in White Salmon, WA, September 4, 1948 to Richard Lawrence Collins and Julia Jenny V. Muender, she was the second born of four sisters and two younger brothers.
Debbie passed away at UCSF Hospital in San Francisco with her two daughters by her side. She lived in Manteca and graduated from Manteca High School. Her greatest joy was her family, especially when she became a grandmother. Debbie worked as a pharmacy technician for CVS until her death.
Born in Escalon, California to parents, Carlos Pereira and Evangeline (Vieira) Pereira decedents of farming and whaling families in the Central Valley, Monterey Peninsula and Azores Islands of Portugal. Leonard passed peacefully, surrounded by family, on November 15, 2015.
Walter lost his battle with Leukemia on November 18th. He was born to Alva and Marguerite Hotchkiss in Hobbs, New Mexico on August 18, 1940. He graduated from Livingston High School in 1958. He was involved in sports, playing football and baseball. He was also in the school band. After school he continued to play baseball and softball along with participating in several bowling leagues.
Thomas Kirk Johnson was born August 20, 1956 to Donald and Inez Johnson in Salinas, California. He grew up in Ethiopia, the Philippines, and Malaysia where his father served with USAID and the World Health Organization. He came back to the United States in high school and graduated from Kennedy High School in Richmond, California. After high school he went on to the University of California at Berkeley, and received his B.A. in biochemistry in 1978. He then attended medical school at the University of California, Irvine from 1978 - 1983.
Lawrence passed away peacefully after a short battle with cancer at English Oaks Rehab Center in Modesto. He is survived by his son Douglas Schmitz, daughter Stacey Roberts, sister, Nelda Schmitz, nephews Gerald Brown and Larry Brown, three grand daughters and three great grandchildren. Larry was also preceded in death by his parents Lawrence and Gertrude Schmitz, his sister, Edna Eileen (Schmitz) Roney and half-brother Lewis Schmitz.
Marie passed away peacefully and comfortably in her home on Thursday, November 12, 2015. She was mercifully taken quickly by aggressive cancer. She was loved dearly by her family and her many friends in Turlock and beyond.
Raymond Olson, 92, of Modesto passed away Friday the 30th of October 2015. He was born the 25th of March 1923 in Delhi to Eric and Hulda Olson. He was preceded in death by his wife Alice, parents and three sisters.
Lawrence Azevedo; 90, of Turlock CA passed away Friday night. Larry was a caring man who led a quiet life. He enjoyed dancing, playing cards and loved to play Bingo. He was a part of the Delhi Senior Citizen Club where he was able to participate in his favorite activities and make many friends. He was a dairyman for many years and then turned to other opportunities, those opportunities included working in the sale yards, real estate and he even started the Turlock Flea Market. R. Gerald Bonander, 95, of Turlock, passed away peacefully with his loving wife and family by his side. Gerald was born in Kingsburg, CA to Joseph and Esther Bonander, one of seven children. He graduated from Livingston High School in 1938. In June of 1947 he married Atha Burch. He served in the US Army Air Corps during World War II. He was a peach grower in Merced County for 75 years.
