Freddie was originally from Turlock, where he lived for 45 years before moving to Klamath Falls.

Earline Lankford, 79, passed away unexpectedly at her home. She was born in Osceola, Ark. to Earl and Beatrice H. Liles. After finishing school, she married and moved to California and had one daughter, Beverly. Earline and Bob Lankford lived in Keyes, where they owned and operated a small business for many years. Jessie Lee Estep, 79, of Waterford passed away on Saturday, Dec. 18 at Elness Convalescent Hospital. She was born and raised in Lamesa, Texas to J.T. and Eda Rollins. For many years Jessie worked as a nurse's aide at St. Rose Hospital in Hayward. In 1973, she moved to Waterford and went to work for Tri-Valley Growers where she remained for 20 years. Elizabeth McDermott, 93, passed away peacefully with family by her side on Nov. 27, 2010, at Memorial Hospital in Modesto. She was born in San Francisco to Hyalmar Amandis Jansson (Johanson) and Jenny Quist Jansson.

Jack Eugene Gunkel entered into rest on Wednesday in Modesto with his children and their mother, Helen Gunkel of Vallejo, by his side.

Fred was born and raised in Chicago, Ill. before moving to Pomona in 1960, and settling in Stanislaus County in 1995. He served in the United States Army during World War II. His interests included trains and fire engines, he was also an avid gardener and enjoyed traveling all around the United States.

Kenneth E. Falkenberg

Kenneth Falkenberg, of Turlock, passed away at home after a two year battle with cancer. Kenneth was born in Caldwell, Kansas to Bert and Rita Falkenberg. He attended school in Claremore, OK before moving to California at age 12. He attended Hawthorne School and Turlock High School. After high school he served in the National Guard and worked 32 years for Hartvickson Poultry. He became a self-employed poultry hauler for a total of 56 years before retiring in 2000. Kenneth enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching football. His greatest enjoyment was spending time with his family.
