Melvin William Reiswig, 95, died peacefully on Tuesday at Stratford at Beyer Park where he resided for the last six months. Melvin was born in Boden, N.D. to Charlie and Maggie Reiswig and was one of nine children. As a youth, Melvin spent his years between North and South Dakota helping on the family farm. At age 19, Melvin came out to California where he settled in the Lodi area and worked as a mechanic, drove truck and worked on numerous ranches. Michael McGlinn Martinez

Michael McGlinn Martinez, 47, passed away on Thursday. He was born at the U.S. Army Kuma Station, Tokyo, Japan in 1964 to Michael McGlinn and Evelyn Martinez. He moved to San Jose in 1966, and later settled in Turlock in 2006. He was in the construction and auto mechanic industries for 15 years. He enjoyed working on motorcycles and cars.

James Sweeten, 35, of Turlock, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Monday. He was born in Gilroy to Roy and Mary "Helen" Sweeten. He grew up and went to school in Morgan Hill. As a teen he discovered he had Huntington 's disease, which limited his mobility throughout his adult life. James loved fishing – in rivers, lakes or wherever he could find enough water. John Vincent Jurevich

John Jurevich, 54, of Turlock, died tragically in San Leandro. He was born in San Jose to Ivan and Jeannette Jurevich. He attended schools in Patterson and graduated from Patterson High School. Afterward, John attended Modesto Junior College. After completing his studies, he met and married his sweetheart and life partner, Toni Azevedo. They moved to Turlock in 1991. John and Toni were married for 26 years before his tragic death.

Raymond E. Koogler

Born in Staunton, Va., Ray moved to Chagrin Falls, Ohio as a young boy. From 1942 to 1945, he served in the Army, primarily in Europe and the Mediterranean. In 1945, after being discharged, Ray married Mildred Kivisto. In 1949, he enlisted in the Air Force and served in Korea until 1952. After 38 years of service to the White Motor Company in Cleveland, he and Mildred retired to Hilmar. Ray had a passion for flying and was an accomplished pilot. He also built and flew his own airplane. Throughout his life, Ray enjoyed woodworking, cabinet making and electronics.

Marjorie Miller, 92, of Turlock, passed away at Alexander Cohen Hospice House in Hughson. Marjorie was born in Texas, one of 6 children born to Mr & Mrs Harrelson. She was raised in Missouri and attended schools in Missouri. She married Charles "Chuck" Edward Miller in Prineville, Oregon in 1945. Chuck and Marjorie and her family ran a commercial fishing business in Kenai, Alaska. She was a housewife and was involved with running the family business for 50 years.
