Audrey Morrison, 88 of Alexandria, Va., passed away Aug. 21, 2010 at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro, N.C. She was the wife of Lt. Colonel (Air Force) Marvis C. Morrison, mother of Kimberly Morrison Bell of Alexandria and Brian A. (Susan) Morrison of Greensboro and grandmother of Kaitlyn and Kyle Morrison of Greensboro.
Visitation for Pearl S. Burke will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 7 at Turlock Funeral Home, 425 N. Soderquist Rd., Turlock. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 8, also at Turlock Funeral Home.
Surjit Kaur, a resident of Turlock, passed away Thursday the 2nd of September at her residence. She was born March 16, 1922 in India to the late Partap Singh and Bishan Kaur. She settled in Turlock in 1986 and belonged to the Turlock Sikh Temple. She enjoyed gardening, and volunteering at the Temple.
Juanita Roman, 92, of Ceres was born April 13, 1918 in Havana, Cuba and passed away on Sept. 1, 2010 in Turlock.
Dorothy Merritt, 85, of Turlock, passed away at Evergreen Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on Aug. 21. She was born and raised in New Jersey. Dorothy lived in the Turlock/Modesto area most of her life. She was a member of the Free Will Baptist Church and the Salvation Army Turlock Corps. She enjoyed traveling, camping and nature. Dorothy will be missed by all who knew her.

Irene Blaylock, 96, of Turlock, passed away on Saturday at Alexander Cohen Hospice House in Hughson. She was born in Mansfield, Mo. to Thomas and Gertrude Holland in 1913. She lived most of her life in Turlock. Irene worked as a USDA inspector for around 25 years, traveling throughout Central California. She was honored to be the second lady to be a USDA inspector. Heleneh Barcham, 76, of Modesto, passed away unexpectedly at her home in Modesto on Saturday. She was born in Mosoul, Iraq to Wanna and Goliza Barcham. Heleneh lived in Iraq and Jordan and later moved to Chicago. Less than a year ago she moved to Modesto to be near family members. She spent 60 years of her life in service to her family. Effie G. Hall passed away Aug. 23, 2010 in Sweet Home, Ore. She was born in Centralia, Wash. to Robert and Effie McElroy. She moved to San Francisco in 1928, where she attended school. She met and married Ira "Tye" Holly in 1945. They moved to Lindsay in 1946. In 1951 they then moved to Hughson, where they farmed peach trees. From there they moved to Stevinson where Tye planted and raised almond trees for Stevinson Corporation until his death in 1985. She married Billy Joe Hall in 1988, and shortly after they moved to Oregon.

John was born to Clifford and Alice Cope in Cleveland, Ohio in 1943. He worked as an auto mechanic for various companies over the last 55 years. He enjoyed anything that had wheels and an engine including cars, NASCAR, racing and attending swap meets and car shows. Jo Ann Ladd, 81, of Turlock, passed away at Emanuel Medical Center on Monday, Aug. 23. She was born in Overbrook, Kansas to Bernie and Rachel Skaggs. The family moved to Turlock in 1936, and Jo Ann completed her schooling at Turlock High School. She worked for 45 years in the banking industry. Most of her banking was with State Savings in Turlock where she became an operations supervisor. She loved to read and travel while her health allowed it, but in recent years she stayed close to home with her dogs, especially "Gidget," her constant companion.

Daniel Higuera, 79, of San Diego, was born on Oct. 31, 1930 in El Centro, Calif. and passed away on Aug. 19, 2010 in Scripps Memorial in San Diego.
He was the sixth child of 10. He proudly served his country during the Korean Conflict in the 2nd Division of the 12th Regiment for the U.S. Army. Turlock resident Annette Pauline (Lodewyck) Mayer, 94, died April 15, 2014, at Brandel Manor Nursing Home where she lived for the past six years.
Cheryl was called home by the Lord 11:11AM on April 7, 2014. She passed peacefully away with her husband and family all around her at Alexander Cohen Hospice in Hughson.
Jim was born in Turlock, California on April 18, 1922 and passed away on April 16, 2014 at the age of 91. After graduating from Turlock High School he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served under General George S. Patton during World War II.
Ron "Ronnie" Enos passed away peacefully on April 4, 2014 in his sleep at home after a short battle with cancer surrounded by those he loved. Ron and his wife Pam resided at "Enos Ranch" here in Mariposa for the past 12 years after moving from Oakdale where he lived for 26 years. He retired from Lawrence Livermore National Lab in 2001, as a Lab Assistant. Ron also operated Big Oak Stables for 17 years in Cull Canyon.
